All breaks for all arrivals
very disappointed. So much potential, but poorly run. The caravan was adequate enough, although needed a bit of a clean. Entertainment was really one game of bingo and karaoke. Not a lot of things for kids to do. We used it as a base, to go to Blackpool, but there was nothing to do locally.
Had a fantastic time at beacon fell the caravan was massive and very clean had everything we needed staff were very freindly although they do need afew extra hands to bring the park upto its full potential because it coukd be brilliant but there very under staffed pool was great with toilets seating and changing area entertainment staff was brilliant and had a great character called Felix the cat the indoor soft play area was great but again needed abit if tlc overall it was a great holiday and we would return
When we arrived we was told policy was you couldn't check in before 4pm but wasn't told this when booking, at 4pm the caravan wasn't ready and after waiting around for 2 hours with 5 children it was getting silly the staff were helpful and let us leave our bags so we could go shopping and when we got back the caravan was ready and the staff brought our bags to the caravan for us, its miles away from everything and there isn't that much going on for children, as for the caravan ot was lovely in fact imaculate and the lounge was very spacious
Caravan was modern and well equipped but not the cleanest we have stayed in.
There's not much to do there but we just wanted somewhere to sleep and wash and its perfect for that.
We would use this park again.
Really enjoyed our week. The caravan was wonderful and the staff brilliant. Would definitely recommend
Reception staff very unorganised on arrival. Caravan very dirty and smelly.
I didn't use the leisure facilities because I was going for peace and quiet. I certainly had a peaceful week. The surrounding countryside was breathtaking. The large village nearby (Longridge) had a good selection of shops, cafe's and takeaways. Plenty of places to go walking. The staff at the caravan site were very friendly and polite.
What we all said over our stay was, "There is so much lost potential at this place." We got a week for a very good price on a last minute deal. The caravan was clean and in good condition, though it is past time to change the mattress as the springs could be seen long before they are even felt. Excellent powerful shower with plenty of hot water for a family of 5. No toilet paper when we got there and a quick run to the shop was pointless as there is very little in the way of items one would need. Worse is that when trying to pay for a simple item like a coke you have to take it to reception and wait until they finish their phone calls simply to pay. This would not be an issue if their phone calls were quick, but they are not. I had to wait for over 15 minutes to simply be told, "That costs £1." A second time when requesting help I was greeted by a puff to the face from an electric cigarette. Disgusting. The pool shuts too early (4pm) to have ever had a chance to use. We used site for a base to explore during the day and it would have been nice to come back and then be able to use the pool in the late afternoon. Upon reception we were just pretty much handed the keys and that was that, although friendly enough. The grounds staff do an excellent job though keeping everything very clean, tidy, and pretty with wildflowers growing on the verges. Evening entertainment was good and the atmosphere very friendly and fun. The site is very peaceful, even with neighbours so close. If you are looking for lots to do then go elsewhere, but if you are looking for a quiet break then I would say this is a good place to go as long as you have everything with you.
The log cabin and hot tub was excellent but the site could do with a re -vamp. We went a week before the season started so the entertainment was only karaoke. We should have been advised that as it was pre season that the entertainment was lacking.
The staff were excellent and extremely helpful .
we realy enjoyed staying at beaconfell in june this year the caravan was nice @clean people on site @ the site were realy nice i would recomend the site to other people we would like to go to site again next year
Very poor.. My children's beds wasn't made up and ask plenty of times but it never got done. Nothing to do for children and the entertainment for them is dated and boring .
Location was lovely and scenic, however, after paying a lot extra for a caravan that hadn't housed dogs, due to my daughters allergies .... we got put in a caravan, which was lovely, but way out of the complex and with unfinished road's, kids couldn't even use their scooters due to the huge holes in the paths. Then after a lovely swim in the pool, we purchased a disposable barbecue from the onsite shop, only to find the sausages and other meat available to buy on site was out of date and growing mould ...urgh ... staff assured they would take off display but 5 hours later mouldy food still on sale.
Caravan was cold at night due to no heating but other than that it was great.
The shop was a let down, it carried very little stock and closed too early.
The pool was nice, but as with the shop and reception and crazy golf, closed too early
Lodge not big enough for 6, dining table and picnic table only for hour and no spare chairs.
Swimming pool ok for those under 13 different messages in lodge guest pack to the notice in the pool.
A lovely caravan holiday experience
