The log cabin and hot tub was excellent but the site could do with a re -vamp. We went a week before the season started so the entertainment was only karaoke. We should have been advised that as it was pre season that the entertainment was lacking.
The staff were excellent and extremely helpful .
we realy enjoyed staying at beaconfell in june this year the caravan was nice @clean people on site @ the site were realy nice i would recomend the site to other people we would like to go to site again next year
Very poor.. My children's beds wasn't made up and ask plenty of times but it never got done. Nothing to do for children and the entertainment for them is dated and boring .
Location was lovely and scenic, however, after paying a lot extra for a caravan that hadn't housed dogs, due to my daughters allergies .... we got put in a caravan, which was lovely, but way out of the complex and with unfinished road's, kids couldn't even use their scooters due to the huge holes in the paths. Then after a lovely swim in the pool, we purchased a disposable barbecue from the onsite shop, only to find the sausages and other meat available to buy on site was out of date and growing mould ...urgh ... staff assured they would take off display but 5 hours later mouldy food still on sale.
Caravan was cold at night due to no heating but other than that it was great.
The shop was a let down, it carried very little stock and closed too early.
The pool was nice, but as with the shop and reception and crazy golf, closed too early
Lodge not big enough for 6, dining table and picnic table only for hour and no spare chairs.
Swimming pool ok for those under 13 different messages in lodge guest pack to the notice in the pool.
A lovely caravan holiday experience
Enjoyed our stay, lovely lodge and hot tub. The only negative would be that we felt the amount of times the staff came to check the hot tub, around 4 times a day and therefore sometimes felt like we didn't have much privacy. Other than that we had a fab time.
I wouldn't go back here it was like a caravan graveyard caravans looked un kept dirty and un hygienic not even a foot away from each other. Entertainment was rubbish and it stated there was an arcade it had probably 4 or 5 machines and they didn't work we were in a lodge that was situated at the exit gate with a disabled member who couldn't use her wheel chair or scooter as it was dirt roads that was hilly and uneven no fencing to stop you going of the edge traffic coming in the exit gate on the whole the holiday wasn't what we expected at all the lodge itself was clean but had slats missing from the blinds lights didn't work the shop on sight was a room with tables with bits and bobs but not what you would call a shop wouldn't recommend this sight .
went for relaxing weekend with the wife. we went out about 10 at night for the entertainment only to find entertainment finished at 11. we were not that bothered cos a disco followed. unfortunately they called last orders at the bar at 11.25. good job we had tv when we got in.
Very limited facilities
Great for a weekend break. Clean & safe environment for families. Would definitely visit again.
Had an amazing time at beacon fell . Our van was gorgeous in a nice quiet cul-de-sac close to all ameneties . Club was great , only downside was no restauraunt or snack bar . So we ordered a takeaway from the village and had it delivered to the club . Would definitely stay again .
Been several times before. Swimming pool well maintained whilst showers and toilets looking a bit dated.
Staff are good in the pool and office.
Childrens entertainment had not really started as Easter was early so this was a bit disappointing for the children. times did not match notices. more could be done here and updating nature trail.
Main play area was undergoing a revamp so not available. you would have thought they would have done this earlier in the year.
caravan was lovely but the site needed a bit of a make over bit tired
