Location & surroundings
Helpfulness of staff
Overall this park is residential with over 800 permanent residents and only 24 or 25 holiday rentals, these holiday rentals should be grouped together in one area away from the permanent residents area as the traffic noise starts up at about 4.30am and is constant till about 8.30am and there is only one way in and out. Staff are helpful and easy to approach.

The park was well situated to explore the 1066 experience. It was clean the staff were helpful and friendly. The caravan was clean and basically equipped but saying that their was eight adults in our party and we managed to have a fantastic time. We visited Hastings had fish and chips in the Blue Dolphin, the Castle,Caves, fisherman's museum ,played crazy golf on the sea front and took the lifts up both cliffs. Brighton, Rye,Eastbourne,Bexhill,St Leaonrds ,Folkston, the miniature railway at Romney Marsh were also visited. We had lovely weather at the end of September and would definitely go back to this park again next year. It was good value for money and the reasturant food at the club house was tasty but we only used it twice as we were out every day until late. Eastbourne at night was fantastic and must be seen!! Even my teenagers had a good time and that is saying something.

Website warns of a very hilly site but we were not prepared for our caravan to be perched on a bank nine steep steps up without a handrail. We were sited near the bottom of the valley, most of the caravans appear to be owned & residential with fenced gardens so there was no direct way to walk up to the site reception, clubhouse or pool. The steep & narrow twisting roadways were without kerbs or paths & badly signposted so the map we were given was of limited help. As the roadways were only suitable for cars we did not use the site facilities, although there was a small car park opposite the facilities that was full every time we passed. On the plus side as we arrived at our caravan we were greeted warmly by the night manager who resided next door, lovely man, it was quiet & surrounded by trees & wildlife. There were four in our party, when we finally got access to our caravan only the double bed had been made up. On returning to reception I was told the 'put-u-up' bed in the lounge had been made but they shouldn't have assumed it was two couples arriving. Within 15mins housekeeping arrived & made the two single beds in seperate rooms as required.

Great little park for a short break. The outdoor pool is lovely and warm and the park itself is very well kept and tidy. Only thing we did find was walking through the nature trail there does seem to be a lot of irresponsible dog owners who do not pick up their dogs mess. Not very nice when walking with young children.
Staff were pleasant enough, entertainment was not the best but ours had fun with the dances and games.

We found the park a Little isolated and certainly not designed for the elderly, although the surroundings are beautiful.

I don't think this was a holiday park, it was more like a residential site with a few caravans to let.

The caravan we stayed in was good but we felt that there was a lot of owners caravans around us with their dogs barking. The reception staff were very welcoming.

A very crowded park, a caravan in miserabele state, the most worst accomodation we ever had in 20 years England.
I enjoyed my holiday and found the park very accomodating. I did not use the facilities as enjoyed walking the beautiful countryside with my dog.
Was disappointed that the nature trail was shut/blocked by caravans, otherwise everything was ok.

A winning combination of relaxed beach life, a lively sense of history, unspoilt countryside and sophisticated city pleasures – at our holiday parks in East Sussex you can enjoy them all. You’ll discover wonderful, family friendly beaches when you choose Hoseasons caravan holidays: the East Sussex coastline offers miles of golden sands at Camber and Winchelsea, and the seaside resorts of Eastbourne and Hastings boast plenty of traditional entertainments. Be sure to visit Hastings’ seaworld aquarium and the Smugglers’ Adventure in St Clements Caves. The ancient Cinque Port town of Rye boasts narrow, cobbled streets, full of charm, while, in complete contrast, funky, fashionable Brighton is a favourite haunt of artists, offering all you could want by way of lively cafés, bars, restaurants and clubs. While you’re never far from the coast, there’s plenty to enjoy inland too. Medieval Bodiam Castle, its fairytale ramparts rising from the gleaming waters of the moat, offers all the romance of history, and the locations of our holiday parks in East Sussex also make it easy to visit 1066 Country or enjoy a nostalgic steam train trip on the famous Bluebell Railway line.
