All breaks for all arrivals
The caravan was lovely and spacious. It was very clean and has all the extras ready which we had asked for. We arrived earlier than the specified check in time but we're able to check in no problem. The caravan was located at the back of the park so if was nice and quiet.
Excellent holiday park. Great accommodation and value for money. Quite but friendly and a nice play area for kids although a few benches would be an advantage for parents to sit on. Not too far to travel to different attractions.
Park is right on the a one and is easy to find. Although it is difficult to turn during busy periods. There is a good play area for children. We were unable to find stuff to talk to outside of check-in or departure. The area itself is beautifu with easy access to Alnwick, Walkworth and Holy Island. The Farne Islands are well worth a visit
Great location, easy to find and ideal to get to anywhere in Northumberland.
Great park, very clean and tidy. The staff are so helpful and friendly
The staff and welcome at the site was really good.
There were 4 adult staying in the van there were only 4 dining chairs so what would happen if there were 5? and this is the main area of question we felt equipment and facilities in the van/cabin were at the minimum and lack of a small welcome pack - milk coffee/tea etc a little old fashioned in these days of competitive accommodation.
The bedrooms a little cramped for 2 adults (even small ones)
The linen/towels were clean and of a good quality and appreciated
The play area looked wonderful if you had children .
We felt things just needed a little bit of updating
Apart from those things we had a lovely holiday .
very helpful staff . From booking the accommodation through to arrival at the site.
We stayed in a lodge it was so roomy, clean and comfortable. Shame about the traffic noise.
Stayed for just short of a week in May as the location was perfect for visiting family nearby and making the most of local areas/attractions. The sight is right on the A1, perfect for accesiblity and getting around but if you're too light a sleeper some road noise might keep you up. Personally it didnt bother me as no different to home!
Enjoyed the break and easy to get around. Could do with a small shop to pick up some essentials ie. Milk.
Staff are great, accommodation fine though looking a bit tired. I am getting increasingly disabled and though accommodation was fine the access steps are a bit difficult. The position so close to the A1 though convenient fir road access means it is noisy so I would want a caravan with easier access and further away from the A1. When we stayed in May 2015 we noticed that the site was extending, with new caravans which looked great and in a lovely position. If we stayed again we would look to book a newer caravan, with easier access that was positioned further away from the A1.
Lovely park, very clean and tidy. Lodge well equipped and modern, comfy beds! Close to a1 but had no problem with noise in lodge. Would return.
We had a wonderful stay for 4 days in late April. It is a very well kept park that is quiet and peaceful. The lodge was comfortable and well equipped (one small niggle - some new cushions in the lounge would not go amiss!). I daresay our stay was helped by great weather ad lovely sunshine but the park is in a good location for getting around to many places of interest. The staff were friendly and very helpful and overall we would not hesitate to return.
Our holiday was great we love Northumberland but I would not return to bockenfield park. When we got home we received an email on a Sunday evening at 9:30 pm informing me that I would be billed for a faulty cooker and all the towels which we did not take.If you go there have plenty or evident of how you left the lodge or face being ripped off too.
Park was nice and quiet, what we were looking for. Well located. Near the road as we had been warned but not too noisy. .
