The lapwing was refurbished for 2016, though it was freshly decorated the flooring was not replaced, which show up . A new shower over the bath was fitted once again all the pipe work was showing it let the new refurbished chalet down.

Whilst the chalet was very clean & everything looked new, the whole chalet smelt of damp, I had to wash everything even clothes I hadn't worn because of the smell ! We

Apartments were cosy and adequately equipped for our stay. The place was very clean and tidy and it looked like it had recently been decorated. The only complaint we had was the bed, the mattress was extremely lumpy and hard to sleep on.

Just love coming there been a couple of times
Chalet smelt damp, dispite having been revamped. heating was a joke , water and heating on 3 hour timers, quite hard to get out of site by car due to steep hill and twisty bends, only a few people staying at time so resturant/bar underused, little choice (pity realy for staff) shop is to small. only used as a base going out daily.Brixham harbour approx ten min walk along coast path ONLY FOR THE ABLE: due to steps, parking nearby, if you can find the way through narrow winding streets.

The weather was cold and we found the heating in the chalet (convection heating) not really adequate. We think we may have been more comfortable in a caravan. We were given the minimum of cutlery and dishes. The chalet was designed for two so we only got two of everything. A bit of extra crockery and cooking pots would have helped.

Unfortunately we felt the chalet we stayed in was what let our holiday down, even though the description said recently refurbished for 2016 this did not seem the case for the whole chalet, the sitting room area and bedroom had obviously been done, though a little rushed in areas. The kitchen however did not seem to look new to us and the bathroom featured quite a bit of black mould in places around the ceiling due to there being poor ventilation in the bathroom, I feel the bathroom is definitely in need of updating. Such a shame as the location of this park is fantastic!
