lodge could have done with a deep clean & beds were very hard but other than that lodge was very good, with plenty of facilities

The lodges had everything you would need to give you the comforts of being at home.

Lodge was spacious and pretty modern, although the shower screen in one of the bathrooms could have done with some attention and the shower hose in the other bathroom needed replacing. Neither caused us any problems.
Heating was via storage heaters and they warmed up quickly.
Kitchen was large and well equipped, had a large fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, modern oven and microwave.
Bedrooms were a decent size with enough storage space for a week, the Castlewood lodge we stayed in had 2 bathrooms.
Overall we were happy with the lodge - spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped.

First class lodge with all mod cons. Warm, spacious and very clean.
our holiday was great although a few things in the lodge needed up graded amd repaired but when booking we were put under yhe impression that any slight damage what cause total replacement by the owner tl our expense. This however seemed far from the case and we felt we had toake a list of repairs and damage as soon as we arrived incase we were charged for damage we did not do. Overall we had a great time and found facilities activities and staff to the highest standards. Thank you.

was very good a few things needing some attention, sliding doors need refitted and handle on lounge door kept falling off, but overall we enjoyed our stay

Family of 5, the lodges were great quality, with enough space for us and the kids, cooking facilities were adequate. Swimming pool was fine and was quiet when we visited. A car is essential as the lodges are quite a bit away from any major towns. Staff were helpful and provided the correct information when asked.
Child ages 14, 10 and 5.

Lovely location, nice and quiet relaxing stay. This is our second stay and we'll be back. Everything you need in these lodges. Not too much for kids in the way of entertainment but we make our own entertainment at night. Culzean Country Park, Heads of Ayr Farm Park and a day in Girvan (all local) and your holiday is complete! Kids had a ball!
.....A well maintained, clean, comfortable lodge/bungalow in a scenic position.
Wi-Fi lounge, games room and gym well equipped and a glorious pool to enjoy.
Near by golf club well placed for eating out (one of our party on crutches, and managed walk). Clean, crisp bedding, plenty of towels and hair dryer, iron & board all provided. Well sited for a trip to Ardrossan and the frequent ferry over to Arran, a lovely drive around the entire island filled up a day.
Co-op in nearby Dailly handy for provisions. On way home we tried the long and winding road through GallowayForest Park added on the journey but worth the views if in no hurry. Would return to Brunston Castle no problem.....
Lovely, clean lodges. Swimming pool area really nice.
Nice relaxing park.

Lodge was lovely and equipped very well, in a nice quite location.
Quiet and peaceful just what you want, when you have antisocial behavior neighbors that live next door to you when you go back home.

Lovely surroundings and nice grounds. Could not use the pool due to very limited opening hours (not at all on Sundays)
The whole family enjoyed our holiday at brunston castle . Came back relaxed which was what we wished for . A big thank you to the staff for there part in making the stay enjoyable.

Really enjoyed our stay. Lodges were good and golf course and restaurant across the road excellent standard and value for money.
Lovely place, but not a lot to do for the older children. Quite isolated so have to use the car quite a lot. Good gym and pool, perhaps needs a club house as everything onsite closes at 8.30pm. Lodge was fine for the price (we got half price) but would've been disappointed if we had paid full. Overall a nice place with friendly staff, but a bit too quiet for our family!
Lovely place with fantastic scenery.
Lodge was brilliant and so were the staff. The swimming pool was very clean and so were the rest of the facilities. Lovely and quiet resort.
Golf club within walking distance - great breakfasts and evening meals, again with fab views.
Not a lot else going on the area, but we had the car and got out and about - saw some amazing places along the Ayrshire coast.
Lovely time, no complaints.

well kept park in good location, best of all is pet free, as partner suffers from allergies. although we did see some one walking a dog through resort on our departure.
Beautiful setting very peaceful. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lodges are very comfortable
There isn't any 'entertainment' but we felt this was a good thing! The site itself was nice and quiet; contrary to reviews we had read before booking, the swimming pool was always clean when we visited. The grounds appeared to be well maintained although for a small number of lodges the parking area wasn't particularly tidy - ours was block paved so was fine.
Not much in terms of things to do in the main reception/pool area - there's a table tennis table and a pool table, and a lounge area with a coffee machine. Outside there's a reasonable play area, but the 'putting' course needed some TLC.
A fish and chip van visited the site twice (didn't use so can't comment), the golf club next door does good food and is reasonably priced. There are villages nearby e.g. Kirkmichael that have pubs serving nice food.
Some reviews said there were potholes in the road on the way there - I can only think they were referring to the road to Girvan - it wasn't the smoothest road, but there were no large holes, maybe they had all been filled in.
There's a large Asda in Girvan (about 6 miles away) and a Co-op in Dailly where you can get most of the food/items you require. There's a Morissons in Ayr, Aldi and large Sainsburys in Prestwick (about 18 miles away). There's a nice play area near the beach in Girvan that the children enjoyed.
We booked the holiday when it was on offer, I'm not sure we'd pay full price for it.
The setting is nice, walk down to the golf course on a nice day for some lovely views.
One word of warning - Seasons reps tried to get us to go along to a 'presentation' (in which they try to sell their timeshare), offering vouchers to spend on food in the golf club restaurant if we attended. We didn't want to give up an hour of our time and to be fair to them, they didn't push to arrange another appointment.

Rich, luscious countryside and glorious long sandy beaches, superlative golf courses and an exciting, vibrant city – enjoy all this and so much more when you stay at our holiday parks in Ayrshire. Birthplace of Open Golf, and home to championship courses at Troon and Turnberry, this is a golfers’ paradise, but there’s something for everyone taking caravan holidays in Ayrshire.Steeped in the history of great Scottish heroes, this is also Burns Country – head to the Burns National Heritage Park to see the little thatched ‘But and Ben’ where Scotland’s national bard was born and brought up. The Museum of Ayrshire Country Life and Costume at Dalgarven Mill also makes a fascinating trip as does magnificent Culzean Castle. Designed by Robert Adams, it sits within glorious grounds on a cliff top overlooking the Clyde.Along the coast, and within easy reach of our holiday parks in Ayrshire, you’ll find glorious sandy beaches and delightful seaside towns and villages to visit, including Ayr, birthplace of Robert the Bruce, and the pretty Victorian resort of Largs, from where you can take a ferry to explore the lovely Isle of Arran. And don’t forget, it’s easy to spend a day shopping and enjoying the sights in Glasgow.
