We booked this last minute and it was wonderful! Very friendly helpful staff, clean and modern facilities and the hot tub made it!!
Location is perfect I will definitely stay again:-)
The only thing that let it down was the wifi when u have teenagers they found it quite difficult to access it.
Fab chalet with hot tub for a much lower price than the equivalent elsewhere.
Already planning to come back and stay again
Love the area, cottages are a home from home. Nice having a beach nearby too. I would recommend this holiday.
It's an excellent accommodation and staff are very friendly. Pool could be a bit more warmer.
The bungalows were very squashed in and the patios not very private overlooking the car park. The local beach was disappointing and there wasn't anything else within walking distance such as cafes, nice pub.
The pool was lovely and warm just a shame no changing room.
The park is adequate but I wouldn't stay again. We couldn't get wifi either which was disappointing also.
Bed was very small but the bungalow overall was fine, some modern additions might be nice e.g coffee maker, radio.
We were looking for a base to explore the island from with our two children and the cottages at colwell bay were just perfect for that. We booked during the sale and for the price we paid the cottage was fantastic and had all the facilities we would expect and some more. It really was like a home from home and our girls really enjoyed it. The local beach was a very short walk away with large sandy areas and rock pools to explore but you just need to watch the tide times as the sea comes right in at full tide. The pool was very warm and clean and all in all we would highly recommend this accommodation. We will be coming back.
very good accommodation for the price in a lovely setting.
Great location, excellent value for money and look forward to going back.
Had a wonderful time. Very peaceful area, quiet. Lots of nice touches welcome milk biscuits etc. would stay again
Nice quiet location, nice crowded beach, nice small restaurant and bar, Nice!
Colwell Bay is in a convenient location, five minutes walk from the beach and twenty minutes from the local shops.
The accomodation was not spotlessly clean but clean enough for our purposes but the exteriors and the gardens are well maintained.
The welcome pack of bread, milk etc was very, well, welcoming!
The staff were friendly and the pool kept clean and at a lovely temperature.
If I were to visit the Isle of Wight again, I would consider staying at Colwell Bay as it was an easy base to explore the rest of the island.
if you are going, consider stopping at the IOWpearl centre to look at the pearl jewellry and enjoy lunch in the lovely cafe. Children loved Blackgang Chine and for adults drive to the Picnic area above Blackgang chine (free parking) and enjoy a walk along the coast path - once you are away from the noise of Blackgang , the views are lovely!
Lovely little cottage, well kept and good standard. Nice little touches such as milk, biscuits tea and sugar , kitchen towels etc left for us to use. Just a little whinge, could do with a dishwasher tablet or two included, but other than that, very good.
Great accommodation but not clean. We would stay again but would need to take cleaning materials!!
