A very enjoyable holiday, right next to the beach. Rhyl itself isn't great but its a good base to visit places like Conwry castle and Llandudno.I would try and stay closer to these places next time but good value for money. Watch out for the dragon lady attendent at the swimming pool. No fun allowed!! Great park for the kids and evening entertainment was enjoyable. Also handy to have a fish and chip shop on site.
We had a lovely holiday, the only thing that spoiled it was not being near our friends.
fascilities are good otherwise only issue is, they do not provide bath towells. At least it should be mentioned on the beforehand.
The caravan was lovely and clean. Entertainment was good. Please do not expect to go swimming and enjoy yourself. The woman there was such a kill joy and very rude! Food in the bar was amazing. Soft play area was unsupervised, which is fine however it was full of teenagers during early evening which is not fine.
great family holiday...nice park and facilities, just a shame that some children are left un attended in many of the play areas, causing upset o other children
Golden Sands Rhyl is in a brilliant location just by the beach. Literally a 2 minute walk which enabled us to go to the beach twice a day. Once in the morning and again in the evening. The play area was great too, my little one enjoyed it.
Loved golden sands there was so much for the kids too do & entertainment & bingo was spot on am going back in May
Right on the sea front, with 2 fairgrounds nearby and a lovely on site restaurant, the only down points were the distance to our caravan from the main entertainment and the swimming pool was slightly small
i love golden sands as do my family,we go every easter and find that the site is centrally based for all our activites,we dont use the sites clubs but enjoy the location,my only complaint is that i would like to get the key earlier than 4pm,
Lovley weekend, staff very helpfull, Caravan spotless cleaning staff to be commended on the quality of clean, when we opend door it gleemed, well done. we will be booking again in the future.
caravan was terrible sink leaked all over floor in kitchen .bedding was left out side in rain . seats had burn marks and ripped there were blankets hiding these.had to walk down dark path to get to caravan there was no lights .told reception they were not interested . so we had to make the best of our break bye staying out of the caravan.
Everything except value for money get a 10/10
I've marked value for money as 5/10 as we always go at Easter when the prices are way too high but as we are self employed this is our only chance of break!
Park is fine and next to lovely beach. However the entrance is very narrow and difficult to negotiate when arriving from the West.
The pool was great. There is not enough food choice. Could do with a takeaway pizza place and a coffee shop. The caravans are too close together. Could do with more snooker and pool tables. The people in the pub and arcade were great
We had a fantastic time. Staff and park were great couldn't ask for better. Already booked our next stay
