The cottages were lovely, well equipped with an excellent pool. The only big gripe I had was the double bed. It was too short and had a fixed foot end. It was impossible for someone else over 6 foot to sleep in properly. I ended up on the sofa bed downstairs- I was lucky to have that option!
Highly recommended. Staff are mostly absent but were very helpful when the boiler packed in.
The staff were lovely and friendly. The pool was very nice, clean and a good size. The children loved the fact they were very often the only ones in the pool. Beautiful view. One thing that would have been nice if available would have been a little washing line and pegs.
Green Acres is set in a beautiful site, with amazing views of the surrounding countryside and the sea. The house was clean and we had everything we needed for a lovely, relaxing stay. The pool was brilliant, we used it every day and had it all to ourselves most of the time. We only saw a member of staff once during the week, which is fine, as we had no problems anyway. The only thing which I feel would improve Green Acres is perhaps a small shop selling essentials like milk, bread and newspapers closer by.
Lovely cottage, with beautiful surroundings and easy access by car to local shops.
Went with friends and family had a wonderful time. Although the weather wasn't great made good use of the swimming pool and hot tub
Great location for Eden Project and still near to beaches.
Not cheap to stay but the cottage was fantastic and could not fault it.
Great location and brilliant facilities, but lack of staffs makes it look unprofessional. As being a travel agent myself, i would expect some one available, when customers arrive on reasonable time and for sure on their departure.
This was the 2nd time staying at greenacre cottages. The accommodation was excellent very comfortable we had a relaxing holiday with a 5 and 2 year old. The only gripe was the temperature of the indoor pool. The first time we stayed it was cold and we were told that the boiler had broken down fare enough. But this last time it was cold as well. With young children keen to use the pool it was the only let down. Looking at the comments book in reception it was the coma theme.
Lovely accommodation high spec finish everything you need in the cottage. Views from cottage No. 5 amazing but i would imagine all cottages have great views. As previous reviews state pool was cold but bite the bullet and jump in you soon warm up when you start swimming. Our cottage had downstairs shower room and toilet, en-suite shower to main bedroom and a family bathroom so everyone can get ready at the same time. Would highly recommend.
The swimming pool is lovely - its one of the main reasons we have returned to Green Acres over the years
Fanatic - pool was great, as was the little play park for the kids. We Really enjoyed the private hot tub and log burner too. Comfy beds, well equipped cottage. Was a great base to explore from - or just a place to relax in and do nothing. Great that you child watch telly and DVDs in every room! Only very mild downside was that the staff were not around much. Overall a great holiday and we would love to go back.
The Greenacre cottages are on a hill with wonderful views of the area. There are 11/12 cottages some have hot tubs and there is a lovely indoor swimming pool that you can use at any time, that was quite often empty, You are close to the Eden Project, Fowey and St Austell within 15min. Within a hour you can reach most parts of Cornwall, Falmouth, Newquay, we also did St Ives in about 1hr 20min.
