We had a waterside caibin with a hot tub and was more expensive than we would normally pay. The cabin was clean on arrival and not badly equipped. You do need to take your own towels and tea towels, washing up liquid etc. The general overall size was ok however the twin room is tiny and my two girls (11 &15) struggled standing up in there at the same time without elbowing each other and the beds seemed small. The beds were made up although I would like to have seen mattress protectors on the beds ( feed back given to Hengar manor).

We were fortunate to be at the end of the row, so had extra privacy. The hot tub was well maintained and enjoyable. The sun umbrella was unusable and thrown under the balcony. Overall cleanliness was very poor - mould in the shower, dirt,dust and food debris under the sofas, mattresses and pillows badly stained. Mattress on double bed was in poor condition. Car park was small, for most of the holiday there was a large pot hole at the entrance, this was only filled in a couple of days before we left, we stayed for 2 weeks.

The cabin smelt awful when we arrived, so all windows and doors had to be opened. I am glad I came prepared with Flash Bleach and air freshener. I had to clean the entire kitchen and clean the floor. Bathroom had a strange strong odour and radiator on full power (outside temperature was 25 degrees) had to get someone from maintenance to turn heating off and to unlock patio doors.

The cabin was lovely! Spacious and very clean! The hot tub was maintained everyday. The signal on the TV in the living room was terrible, this was the only downside to this cabin everything else was perfect!

We had a lovely time in the waterside cabins, they could do with a touch up, for example the decking area some steps were broke and it all felt quite loose, didn't feel unsafe though, apart from that it was a fantastic week away and we're looking forward to next year.
