Lovely peacefully relaxing holiday great place to be we have been 4 year running we love it
Lovely secluded and peaceful location of the lodges. Owner left us alone and didn't bother us. Lodge was well equipped and was a proper timber lodge not a caravan cladded with fake wood. Good location on edge of York. We will be booking again in the future!
fixtures and fittings very worn and old hot tub cold nice view but untidy farm
Great place to stay very helpful staff
Lovely setting and lovely lodge. Was nice of an evening to sit out and look over the fields where the cows were grazing.
I think the details need to be updated as it isn't a working dairy farm where you can watch the cows come in for milking.
The Lodge was nice enough but there wasn't a shop close by. Due to the farm being on a country road, you couldn't go for a walk too far or on the road.
York is a great city and we would go see it again.
An excellent midweek break, really enjoyed ourselves and were made very welcome including our baby and dog. Great facilities in cabin, in peaceful surroundings, felt very relaxed. Definitely recommend to people
The reason we wouldn't stay there again is not because we didn't like Home Farm, it was lovely, but we have now seen what we wanted to in York, so have other places to visit.
Stayed here 29th June -3rd July. Found it really easy to get to.
We had brilliant weather, the staff were really helpful, I couldn't recommend it more, Oak Lodge is beautiful, very clean and spacious. It's lovely sitting back in the hot tub as the cows go past watching the sunset. Will definitely be staying here again. P.s for all you hayfever sufferers, pack your anti-histamines :-)
We had a lovely time at Home Farm and will be going back ... July 2015
The lodge is in a beautiful setting on the farm. Very quiet and everything we wanted it to be. The owners were very helpful and friendly. We would be happy to visit here again.
Great cabin except our location was near a pond so we were invaded by little black flies. The local pub 2 miles up the road was great the beer anf the food was exceptional.Real ale only £1-80 a pint and the meal we had on the Wed was suberb.
Really lovely owners, very welcoming, cabin was immaculate and very spacious, hot tub was fab, we we're a group of women aged 26-30 celebrating a 30 th birthday and it really was amazing! Only £14 in a taxi to York centre if you fancy a night on the town.
The hot tub water did get a little murkey after 2 days and we we're unsure if the filter had been turned off, we did follow instructions to shower with soap and water but I think because we had false tan on and your in the water for a long time this didn't make a difference!
Highly recommended! I would love to visit with my husband, thank you home farm for a great stay!
Had a lovely break in tranquil surroundings with the added bonus of being able to watch the cows and ducklings whilst relaxing in the hot tub. To get out and about a car is essential.
