Just back from a 3 night stay at Drimsynie estate. The accommodation was great -our party of 13 stayed in the Tor Mhor and Drimsynie Court no 5. Both houses were clean, spacious & well equipped. The only negatives were a tap that wouldn't turn off and a broken oven, but after reporting them to reception, both were fixed very quickly by the maintenance team, without a fuss.
However, the service received in the main complex was appalling. Staff were rude and inattentive and when asked questions, it felt like an annoyance to them and the most common answer was "I don't know". A private Burns supper was held on the Saturday night which meant the restaurant and takeaway option were closed. Seems ludicrous given such a rural location to close all your eating facilities without notice, when you have paying guests. Luckily we managed to arrange a table in the nearby Goil Inn, which was fantastic.
All the leisure facilities are chargeable, which is disappointing, given we had already spent so much on the accommodation. £8 for an adult and £6 for a child to access the antiquated swimming pool seems excessive to me. The changing rooms were also dirty and there was a strong smell of urine. The gym was £4 to access and was extremely basic, with a couple of machines and a small selection of free weights. There was only one treadmill that was broken.
On our last night we ate in the Rob Roy bar, service was fine and food on the whole was average but we had to send back the steak pie as the meat tasted off and was inedible. It was taken off the bill and an alternative offered, however we didn't take them up on this offer and made a snack back at the house instead.
Don't bother with the WiFi, doesn't work and a waste of money.
Overall, I wouldn't go back or recommend it which is a shame. The location is stunning, as is the accommodation but the service and the facilities really let it down and many reviews I've read echo this sentiment.

The lodge was equipped with enough to have a home from home. Comfy relaxed living area after a long day walking, this was perfect. The only thing that let it down was the double bed. So uncomfortable but easily replaced.

Awesome location, wonderful for long walks , Great staff and entertainment for the whole family

Paid a lot less for much better quality.
Accommodation is good, but equipment a bit spartan.
Road into site is not for faint hearted, single track road with passing places, and vertical drops either side. Best to arrive and leave in daylight, revesing to a passing place in dark is not recommended.

We were there in January and July and November ,
same lodge in January and November same faults reported.
Reception staff very nice,
Restaurant staff beyond awful, English so poor and manners very abrupt.
Sweet potatoes fries i got soup and told thats what i asked for, fresh orange lemonade they could not understand in one glass, did not know what a hot chocolate was, its the talking down to you.
What upset me most i told reception and heard nothing,
Upon arrival the staff where nice & helpful & directed us to our lodge & told us to phone if we needed anything but unless you are with vodaohone or EE you ain't getting a signal but didn't bother us as that's what coming to a place like this is all about. We stayed in prmargan lodge & what a very nice lodge it is. Everything you need, clean, comfy beds, Tv & en suites in each room & very spacious. Had it of been summer I would have used the decking where you can sit & have a Bbq. The view from the massive windows where just breath taking! Could have just sat staring all day. We went to Rob Roy restaurant for a quick dinner before the evening entertainment which was bingo then games & karaoke for the kids. AJ was excellent with the kids & made sure no one was left out (although there was only a few families in) Drinks where slightly higher in price than your usual pub but you expect that at holiday sites. We took a walk into the village to see more & lovely wee place it was. But we where pretty disappointed to find the local pub the Goil inn had closed for the whole weekend. We wanted to go for food as Rob Roy isn't the best & the onsite Italian restaurant was also closed so we where kind of stuck to eat at the rob roy, We bought the wi fi for when we where relaxing in the lodge & it was £5 a day for 2 devices but didn't mind as it kept the wee one amused. Free wi fi in the complex though. Every activity costs so if this is something you plan take extra cash. My we one only done swimming, soft play & played the air hockey & some of the other machines. Swimming is free for under 6 & £8 for an adult per day which gives you £4 off food (found this strange) soft play was £3 for all day so you can go back but it's quite small so got bored easy. He had more fun running about the main hall & going on the stage. We ventured to Inveraray on out last day & visited the old jail which was good fun, was about a half hour drive, cheaper booking online. There is a handy list in the lodge naming local activities. Overall I'd definitely go back, beautiful place & lovely people.

We stayed in Drimsynie Court No 5; a very spacious accommodation with all 4 bedrooms having their own en-suite. Plus points? Roasting hot water and powerful showers! and close to the reception area.
Be aware there is no hot tub in this, one of the most luxurious on site, accommodation.
I'm not convinced this was the accommodation I booked, as my first requirement was a hot tub! A sorry lesson learned to make note of what your accommodation is actually named!!!
Also, the wifi signal was very poor, if mostly non-existent! This was very disappointing: free wifi was available in the main building, but I'd already paid my £15. The wifi is not provided by the site but by an external provider - it is them that you take any grumblings too - however the phone signal is quite poor too!!
Come back every couple of years, always excellent!

I stayed with my husband and my parents with their collie dog and it was everything we needed for a relaxing break away! My husband and I took the dog on some wonderful walks that are located just off the site and provided beautiful views.
Having the hot tub was a highlight! Sitting under the night sky gazing at the stars was wonderful.
The only down point was our cabin was right next to reception so didn't give the best view out of the patio doors and it didn't feel very private. But that doesn't stop me rating this lodge break as one of the best! We particularly liked having to drive along a small road in a order to get there. We really felt secluded.
The staff were brilliant and so helpful and friendly.
I recommend it highly.
