Was a great lodge, which is well maintained in lovely area which is a great Base for Portsmouth / Southampton. Would Def recommend
Generally we had a great time, the lodge was really lovely and comfortable, we did find the activities a bit expensive for the length of time we had on these, and the bistro was expensive as well £ 6.95 for cooked breakfast we thought was a bit steep so for the 4 of us came to over £27!!
However the staff were really nice and helpful we cant fault that.
We stayed in this lodge for my hen weekend so 8 women in total . The lodge is amazing it has everything you need. Highly recommend this lodge if your looking for a base
Had a wonderful holiday at Marwell Lodges, we stayed in the Hurricane Lodge, it was immaculate, the soft play centre on site was loved by my 3 year old daughter. We would love to return again, worth mentioning that towels are provided as this is not in the description so we took our own. Lovely area and lots of things to do, brilliant
A peaceful lovely break.
The lodge was beautiful and spacious, we will definitely return.
A very relaxing few days, lodge was great with everything we could need and staff were very friendly and helpful, would definitely go back
We stayed at Marwell Lodges for a long weekend. I struggle to find anything else to say other than it was amazing. Everything, from the staff to the lodge, was faultless. We have booked to come back for a whole week next Easter.
These lodges are fantastic and we would highly recommend them. The added bonus is that they are located at the Marwell Activity Centre with all the facilities that they provide. Our boys (11 & 13) did quad biking and tree top 'go ape' style climbing at a really reasonable price. Its a family own business and the staff and owners were very attentive and accommodating for anything and everything we needed. I can see us booking there again in the near future.
Fantastic location and beautiful lodge. The staff are very helpful and the activities are great!
Good and relaxing break.
What a beautiful lodge, brilliant for people with 3 kids as one room slept 3, having a bunk bed and a single bed.
The only thing wrong with the layout was having the side door not open up to the hottub, no light by hottub or steps to get in but they are very minor things. We also didn't have towels in the lodge for the hottub, this would be a nice touch.
We was in lodge number 2 the middle one (only 3 lodges at the time of writing this review)
The lodge was very well equipped.
Nice wooden play area for the kids suitable up to about age 10 max I would say. Free entry into the soft play centre on site, my boys aged 6,7 and 9 said they were too old for it, despite it being up to age 10, so I would say better for younger children, this was busy at the weekends.
Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful, our boys did the climbing and low assault course, the fab lady instructor combined the two things and for 1.5 hours instruction it was a bargain £15 each. It was worth every penny and we were the only people at that time.
You also get free use of the pool at marwell zoo hotel, which we looked at but didn't use, it's quite small with little hot tub but adequate and brilliant that it's included in the price (this is a short drive) and could be combined with a trip to the zoo.
Overall we really liked the activity centre and the lodge was great
Absolutely stunning - can't wait to stay again
We had a fantastic stay at Marwell, every thing was was thought out and finished to a great standard. Brilliant for young and old and lots to do! Will return again at some point.
We have stayed in several log cabins throughout the UK with hot tubs but this one far out classes the others. Everything is to a high standard, fixtures and fittings etc. very well equipped. The owners where very welcoming, polite and informative. The outdoor facilities for children are brilliant, We stayed in our February half term which wasn't the same as most other people's so no set activities for that week but the owner very kindly arranged some for my two boys. We will definitely stay here again and I highly recommend, there is also so much to see and do in the area. Very happy holiday.
The guys working there couldn't do enough. All of us enjoyed every minute. A thank you to the owner for always be so helpful and polite and to the guys we paintballed with on the Sunday morning were excellent too
