All breaks for all arrivals
Caravan very outdated, bathroom had corrosion inside the shower. Stayed in silver and it was tiny not enough cooking stuff. Outside very outdated and empty. We spent our days in other holiday parks around the area.
We went to Oaklands for a complete rest and that is exactly what we got. I do however think that people should be advised before their stay that the bar/restaurant/clubhouse is not open 11am - 5pm Tuesday to Friday and therefore you cannot use the internet. Also that their is no ATM or any bus that you can get to its sister park. We did not take a car so this facility was unavailable to us. I did manage to get sparks internet at a cost of £12 for the week which I was advised of by a member of staff. In particular I would like to commend Pat who went out of her way to help us in every way possible. We would definitely go back.
Entertainment was poor. Food was terrible.
Lovely caravan, friendly staff, beautiful area. Had a great stay. Would definitely visit again
The park was beautiful and quiet , the caravan itself was just amazing , I didn't want to go home , I don't sleep well when im away but I had 4 nites of great sleep.
Loved the park and the staff were brilliant. Downfall was facilities for kids, arcade was tiny and swimming was at another park.
The acomodation was clean but rather small for the five of us the staff were very friendly. My only critisism is that most of the childrens evening entertainment didnt happen and as we took three young children this was our main reason for visiting.
Great week away, this is perfect to us as a base if your looking for a quiet family break then Oaklands is a small holiday park however it doesn't have all the facilities of some of the larger parks in the area.
It's a great park holiday for relax. I had a twice day of the weekend absolute great, but instead, I had one of the caravan neighbour until 1am, doing barbecue, making lots of noising. Friday nite to Saturday, the day I arrived...That day was so disappointed.I have 4 children and no one could slept.
The holiday park itself is a nice quiet place as expected. Unfortunately, on check in vital information was missing. At the bar we were shown the way to the wrong caravan. Luckily someone noticed the mistake and pointed us in the right direction. However, we would have expected to have parking next to the caravan which was not the case, neither was there an allocated space or we would have been made aware of this. We were also not advised where to park. All nearby parking spaces were taken and there were only spaces to the sides of the road left, which we chose since there were no notices not to park there. As a result, we had a rude and insulting owners couple from Lavender way no 9 informing us that the road side was their private property and that we were to park at the park entrance. Having a disabled person with us made this a very impractical experience which we will surly not repeat. Furthermore, the park seems to be laid out for owners needs only. The lake, that we found very attractive on booking this park, is entirely surrounded by privately owned caravans and the only access is through a small gate onto a little walkway on the water.
This park is an experience, that we certainly will not repeat again. We didn't expect much comfort, but the basics are clearly not there. It's the worst caravan park we have been to in a long time.
