Pretty good accommodation, nothing to complain about. A minor problem was fixed in a very short time. Plenty to do locally. The accommodation is near a road, but I didn't notice (there is a railway line close too- didn't notice that either). Staff are very helpful, the cottage was clean and well appointed.
Enjoyable holiday, good location, short drive to surrounding resorts.
Good location. Park well kept and clean, lots of space. Cottage nice but kitchen needed more utensils no collander for example and mugs chipped. Bathroom needed attention. Lounge comfortable. Ocean towels on request. Cot very clean.
although the staff were very helpful and polite and the site was nice and clean we felt that we were misled by there web page, the heated tropical pool was not this at all,you could only fit 3 families in and it was crowded,no jumping or inflatables were allowed which would be fine if they actually stopped the people who disobeyed this rule, the toilets and changing rooms were shared with the pub users and tiny, the cottage had a faint smell of damp,we were told there would be plenty of places to eat in the neighbouring site which we didnt think they meant the village which had nothing suitable for our family, the arcades on site were tiny and half did not work, the one good thing was yorkshire itself which was beautiful.
Nice clean cottage with friendly staff and pleasant surroundings. Would definitely return!!
Never again, nothing to do, miles away from anything, kids were bored stupid, cost us a small fortune for something so bad, never again
It was just what I needed if you're looking for peace and quiet then this is ideal. The cottage was clean and the staff very helpful. You do need a car though as it is couple of miles away from any shops and with a small child it's a bit far for them to walk. Overall I loved it and so did my 2yr old granddaughter I would go again .
Site is good for families
Quiet and relaxing holiday can't fault it in any way.
We enjoyed our stay lovely area. As it was raining on our arrival we didn't go looking around the site as we didn't want to get wet,so it would have been nice to have been informed of what facilities where on the site on our arrival.
A lovely clean and warm cottage well placed for touring the East Coast. Lovely grounds for walking the dog and the indoor pool a bonus. Great out of season but would imagine very busy once the touring vans/campers arrive.
The village of Hunmanby has a good range of shops etc but again being out of season one of the pubs didn't serve food on Monday evening and the other stopped serving at 7pm. Chinese takeaway was good though!
Great cottage on ground floor (ideal for people with restricted mobility)
Quiet location. Ample car parking.
We will definitely be booking again!!!!
We were called on the Wednesday before we were due to go to be told that are accommodation would be ready for 12 o' clock which was nice, when we arrived we received a warm welcome from the lady in reception, who very kindly took us to our accommodation which was warm and comfortable a lovely little cottage, ideally situated to get to all the attractions, we went to flamingo land, eden camp, scarborough and whitby.
The whole family really enjoyed it .
Had a lovely week away in March and thoroughly enjoyed our break. The location was great for some wolds and coast walking and we found it very handy for walking into Filey (about 3 miles) then walking along the coastal walks. Can't comment on pool/bar as it was not available with it being a winter break but the cottage was perfect for our purpose, warm and cosy central heating and plenty of hot water for baths/showers.
There was a couple of take aways (chip shop was good) in the village and a couple of pubs but we found a lovely pub at Lebberston The Ox and would recommend that for a bar meal. Also Co-op in village for supplies.
