10th - 26th APRIL
All breaks for all arrivals
Over whelming smell of dogs on arrival and carpet full of dog hair. poorly maintained, torn lamp shades, peeling paint on ceilings and walls, thread bare carpets which meant the carpet had lifted and was a trip hazard and an old shoe lace for the bathroom light pull cord. Hadn't been cleaned behind any bedroom furniture for probably a few years. We booked for six people but only had five chairs for the table. There was a dressing table with a mirror but not socket for a hair dryer. Insufficient cooking utensils..ie pots and pans for a family of six.
Not sure about the other cottages but....if ours was anything to go by they all need a complete face lift inside and out.
We booked 4 cottages here for a family holiday. They were all booked together under the same name yet we were spread out all over the park. I feel we should have all been closer together. The 'cottages' as they call them are very dated and from the outside are an eye sore a lick of external paint is definitely needed. Inside our cottage it wasn't too bad to look at but those beds were the most awful beds we had ever slept on even the kids were complaining about a bad back they were noisy you could feel all the springs and the bedding provided wasn't much better. We had a cot for our son and was asked if we wanted a travel cot or full size cot. As he was 18 month we asked for full size it was the smallest cot I have ever seen he couldn't even move in it so had to sleep in the uncomfortable bed with us making it even worse. The beds were the same quality in all 4 of our 'cottages'. The water preasure on the shower was terrible and just trickled out quicker to run a bath. Apart from that the 'cottage' was clean on arrival and did have everything else we needed. Which is more that can be said for my brothers 'cottage' as they entered the smell was terrible it smelt damp and musty the carpet was so dirty they went with an 8 month old and stayed in a 3 bedroom which cost quite a bit more. She couldn't put her baby down to play it was that bad and had to use the travel cot as a playpen. She did ask on arrival of she could change and she was willing to pay to change but was told sorry we are full so no. I think the 'cottage ruined their holiday. The third cottage was clean same problem with the beds but very dark and dated inside especially the bathroom I've never seen as much cladding. The 4th was clean same problem with the beds the complaints here are that they found fish hook stuck in the carpet when they arrived they have a 1 year old this could have ended in an accident and it's a good job they checked the appartment.
The grounds were lovely apart from the eye sore buildings it had a small park which the kids loved the pool was great for the kids and they loved the arcade. We only attended the club twice and I must admit that was poor entertainment for the kids it is clear they have had limited training on kids entertainment ment. The first night we attended they were kissing a big rabbits bum and saying it stinks you fatted and the second night the rabbit was encouraging the lady to go in his nappy and and get items out. There are other ways to be funny with kids without being rude it was pathetic.
Overall I think the park could be great the location is good I think it just needs a big revamp
The whole site is dated needs TLC the opening of the reception and shop Is not long enough
Good value, although the park could probably do with some updating. Would have preferred easier access to the beach.
The toilet lock worked sporadically but when I asked for it to be fixed I was told that fixing it would make it worse as someone could lock themselves in!
The kids club was scheduled and advertised to start at 6pm every night but would rarely start before 6:30 and one night the kids club entertainment was colouring in. Overall the children's entertainment was woefully below that advertised and expected.
The upkeep of the accommodation was also dissapointing, the bathroom mirror was almost unusable for example.
We as a family ranging in age from 2 years through to 55 years had a brilliant time accessing all facilities offered from the pool through to crazy golf, aqua zorbing and jet bikes.
The couple of issues with accommodation were dealt with quickly and efficiently and didn't interfere with our holiday. Thank you to all the staff at Perran View Holiday Park.
Accommodation smelt awful of dogs. Lots of maintenance is needed to bring them up to scratch . There needs to be more on site for families. Overall it was manageable with lots of air freshener and not spending time on the park. Overpriced for the state of accommodation.
The staff were exelent but had very little to work with.
Great park. Very helpful and friendly staff. All in all a very well run park and we had a great holiday.
This was a very late booking at somewhere we would not normally go ie a holiday village. We found the facilities old fashioned and not of very good quality. The bedding was very poor as were the beds. This is not a holiday we would take again I'm sorry to say. We have stayed in good quality holiday cottages at far less the cost.
We had a fantastic holiday, site, accommodation etc, all to a good standard. A good holiday site for family holidays.
Park very well kept and clean , only down side we arrived late and there was no where to eat and on site shop had very limited opening hours
Basic, but very clean and lots of hot water.
Although the park looks a little dull and dated its is a fantastic place to holiday. I would definitely stay there again and have already recommended it to family. We stayed in the silver cottage (no82) myself my partner and our 5 children. We are ready to book for next year. My 3yr old enjoyed his daily visit to the playground then crazy golf before we headed to Perranporth beach literally a 5 min car ride.. the onsite shop and laundrette were a tad expensive but you pay for the convenience . Overall we had a fabulous holiday the staff were great too !
The location was perfect for visiting Newquay and perranporth and St Agnes itself is very pretty. The accommodation was value for money, it was a comfortable and had everything we needed.
