Brilliant stay, very relaxing and would defiantly stay again. Constructive critisium wise - there was nobody to check us out, nobody was around to give our deposit back or to check our lodge on departure. Also a deep clean is maybe needed as behind the sofa there were kids crayons along with lumps of dirt that we found - and dirty cutlery.

I think the 4pm check in and the 10am check out times needs looking at for the price your paying for your stay.I know the cabins have to be cleaned.

great place to stay. The lodge's have all the comforts of home and are very clean and well maintained. Highlight was sitting in the hot tub every morning and evening.

The lodges are of a very high standard, with a spacious lounge/living area. Bedrooms are roomy and well equipped. Modern clean bathroom. The defo area is spacious and the hot tubs are a definite bonus added feature. The surroundings are lovely and peaceful, and Spencer's bar and grill holds a welcoming atmosphere.

Great stay at pickering lodge, great relaxing week away.
Good location to get to coast.
The bar and grill on site was lovely and very reasonably priced.
We couldn't get our heating to work and the owner came straight away to sort it.
Can't wait to book for next year!!

Bad bits- Wasp infection (killed 13 in 3 days) - broken bed slats - mattress roll together - limited cutlery .
Good bits - hot tub great after a days walking but hot tub overlooked from pub.
Very nice area would recommend.
Lodge was nice, clean and had good hot tub. Location was near main road, which could be heard at night.
Loud music could also be heard on the Friday night until 11pm. It was either coming from Spencer bar or the pub over the road. Hot tubs could have done with being more private and people in nearby lodges could be heard when in their tubs.
Kitchen was lacking in basic utensils. No can opener!, no peeler, no measuring jug and all pans were small sized.
Bed was also extremely creaky.
The lodge may be ok for people who are out all the day and goto the pub all night but I can't recommend it for those wanting a relaxing peaceful break

The on site bar/restaurant facilities were always busy and very noisy.
It always seemed to be full of local people/private parties and was difficult to get a table for a meal.
On one particular busy night when looking for a table that didn't have a reserved sign on it, a member of staff very abruptly said 'Can I help ya'? In reply I said we were looking for a table for 5, we were told again very abruptly, 'no chance'.
Customer service was not brilliant.
A great place lodges were very well presented in a lovely location , you must visit Spencer's on site bar and grill great food and great value for money,

We had a brilliant stay at pickering lodges! Peaceful surroundings, good location and lovely, well equipped lodges. The hot tub was a big hit with our children (and us). There's a really nice little park on site too which was a big plus.
Nice lodge but not clean, they provide bath robes when i opened mine it had a hair inside, crumbs under the sofa, dirty stained toilet and hair around the bath. They didnt offer a emergency contact number.
Great lodge but hot tub was a bit disappointing. The jets didn't seem to work so no bubbles :(

Generally very well appointed and equipped, clean and comfortable. The on-site restaurant with takeaway facility is particularly good, both in terms of quality and helpfulness.
Already been twice we think the place is spot on
