Rainbow executive lodge and it was beautiful. Provided with all cooking utensils. The hot tub and sauna were the highlight of the trip. Beds were very comfortable and showers were a delight. Surrounding scenery was gorgeous.
Location ideal if you just want to get away from it all and relax.
Fantastic range of activities available to book at reception such as quad biking, archery and air riffle.
Nearby shops not within walking distance and require a drive so make sure you pack everything. On that point is my only slight negative. You are not provided with basic household requirements such as toilet paper, washing up liquid or sponges. Both toilets came provided with one roll of toilet roll but with 4 people staying it run out quickly now I can understand if you have booked for a long trip this is something that you would pack but for short trips you'd expect there to be a stock. Within the kitchen there is a dishwasher but you aren't provided with dishwasher tablets nor is there sponge or washing up liquid, which again for a short stay at least you'd expect.
The only other slight negative feedback is that there is no wifi and little phone signal.
Overall I would highly recommend. We all really enjoyed our stay and would return. The positives strongly outweighed the very slight negatives.

few signs of people neglecting or miss treating but otherwise great. so peacfull and relaxing
Rainbow Executive Lodge 4
Enjoyable short break for 2 couples, however, very disappointed that 2 cars were not allowed at our lodge, although there were 2 designated tarmac spaces.
On check-in, reception advised that there was only space for one car at our lodge.
On arriving at our lodge, there were actually 2 designated spaces, so our 2nd car remained there overnight. A sign was left on the windscreen by the morning to advise that the car was not permitted to park as it was not registered.
On taking the car back to the main car park & visiting reception we advised there were actually 2 designated spaces, not only 1, as we had been told. We asked to register the 2nd car but were advised this was not allowed due to safety reasons.
Our 2nd car had then had to be left in the car park, which is used by general public (golfers, walkers and visitors the the restaurant/bar). We were also advised by reception that the main car park has no security.
We were somewhat confused by this as several other lodges had numerous cars parked, and the extra cars were not in any designated space. They were on grass verges or on the roadway. This was for the duration of the weekend and not just at check-in or check-out times.
I consider that those cars were causing a far greater 'safety issue' than our 2nd car would have, had it been permitted to remain in the designated parking space alongside our main 'registered' car.

Stayed in rainbow exec 8.ir was amazing. I can't fault it. Helpful info: to use the grill the door needs to be closed

Bit disappointed this time, we've been 4 or 5 times in last 3 years and this time treated ourselves to a rainbow executive. The dishwasher was broken the rails had wheels missing meaning we couldn't use the top without cups taking flying down on the tray. I told reception they said they would look to see if they had new wheels but never heard back. The cupboards had pins broken so the top shelves fell off. The shelf for holding milk in fridge was broken so again couldn't be used.

Have told all our friends about these lodges ththgey were amazing. Looking to book our next break hear soon
We booked a long weekend for my daughter's 15 birthday in July. This was our first trip to Piperdam. The staff were friendly and efficient. We were delighted with the lodge. It had the 'wow' factor when we entered the lodge. My daughter loved the island in the kitchen area. The area was very peaceful and we loved the sauna and hot tub (which was maintained daily by the maintenance staff). The only comment I would make about the lodge is that unlike other places we have visited there were no washing up liquid or dishwasher tablets which have been provided at all other places we have stayed. As this was the most expensive place we have stayed I was surprised that these were not provided. Otherwise we loved the place and would certainly come back.
My partner and i used the leisure facilities while we were there. Unfortunately the sauna was not in use. The steam room was particulaly hot. I would say the steam room was a bit dated with benches which were well used and bowed . Could be doing with an update. I found the water in the shower after being in the pool to be far too hot. I am sure you could save money by turning down the temperature of the shower.
However, overall we thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing long weekend at Piperdam and would recommend the place to family and friends and will certainly return in the future.

Lodge was not as clean as last year. Dust on the curtains and ledges, scuff marks on the walls.

Brilliant lodge with sauna and hot tub. Full size fridge and freezer along with washer/dryer. Only thing that wasn't great was the weather.
