Had a lovely peaceful and friendly holiday. We have a very large dog who was accommodated by the helpful staff and the surrounding towns and restaurants. We spent the whole week relaxing or exercising. As mountain bikers the grounds were lovely for small rides but we were clost to the seven stanes centres of Mabie, Kirroughtree and Dalbeatie.
Great place highly recommend it :)
Was a good holiday. The reason for low staff helpfulness rating is that we didn't see a single member if staff the entire 4 days we were there.
There are no facilities at all at queenshill which is fine as we knew this before we went but there is an old tennis court which looked so sadly neglected and was unusable- it would have been nice to eithe have been able to use it or replace it with a putting green or few swings even.
Location was good with short drives to many attractions/activities.
Lovely location -accommodation was very comfortable and each lodge was very private
Lovely clean lodge. Would benefit from from some new furnishings though as sofa and chairs really uncomfortable. Also quite a distance away from any shops which was fine for us s we had a car. We took our two dogs and we always picked up oot dog poo. Unfortunately the same can't be said for other people staying there. We found load around our lodge which were not ours! We also brought out two young children who played outside so this was not ideal having the dog poo about. I feel there should have been signs up telling you to pick it up. There was a notice in lodge but people seemed to be ignoring it. I would probably stay here again though.
first time in cabin had a great time weather rained for 6 out of 7 days but did not spoil the hoiladaywould go again which we arte in September
Lovely location, nice and very clean lodges.
we had a great stay. Myself, my husband and our 2 dogs loved it. Lovely peace and quiet. Plenty woodland walks and only 15 mins in car to nearest town. Cabin had everything you need. Only thing we would have liked was an outside tap to wash the dogs off after a walk (just being picky). Will definitely be back
If you are looking to relax this is the place if you have a dog well it is doggie heaven it was great.
We love Queenshill Lodges and try to stay a couple of times a year.
Didn't see any staff. DVD on tv did not work and no way of reporting it.
Lovely location and for the money really good
Nice comfortable lodge in a very peaceful location. Stayed as a family with one child and found enough to do for 3 days but might have struggled to find activities for a longer stay although we were out of season. Lodge and setting were very nice on old walled garden estate looking out over open countryside. We saw lots of wild rabbits and even a deer.
nice and quiet the way we wanted it
great value for money, clean, tidy lodges with everything you need, very helpful owner.
Great relaxing break
Beautiful location, will re-visit in better weather. Ideal if you like peace and quiet and to completely get away from it all...
