Lovely and clean

Accommodation excellent. We thought rubber matting around hot tub would be beneficial. Also internal door mats at main and patio doors

Our holiday bungalow was in need of maintainance. The kitchen was grubby on arrival as was the bathroom. There were broken tiles on the floors and burn marks on the bedroom carpet. We paid extra to have a hot tub. But having owned hot tubs ourself we could smell the water was not safe to use as it smelt of mildew. We asked for it to be cleaned but all that was done was extra chlorine added. There was slimy mould on the lid which we cleaned off ourselves and after a couple of days the water had balanced out and we was able to use it for the last couple of days of our stay.
Cottage tatty garden tatty, beds awful squeaked be Tyrone you moved and kept everyone awake. Half the equipment didn't work

The cottage was good, well located and a short walk from the lake and the clubhouse
The interior requires serious updating with the sofa very uncomfortable to sit on.
The beds need changing as they are very very noisy when turning over during the night
The hot tub is superb and clean but the surrounding area needs more work to make it look more special.
However despite the small annoyances I would stay again.

the cottage really could do with a revamp, big iron burn on bedroom carpet, no bath mat in the bathroom so getting out of the shower was a bit dangerous.
the so called garden where the hot tub is located really needs sorting out, there was no grass just mud and weeds and garden furniture was a small round table with 2 chairs which is no good when there are 5 people, sofa very uncomfortable and pillows in bedroom were like sleeping on pancakes

The bath in the cottage was too high sided and there was nothing to hold onto when getting in or out. Lovely cottage apart from bath.

Comfortable cottage. Could have been a little cleaner ie: windows and nets but generally all good.

Great location, beautiful setting. Staff were great especially Laura and Tammy :)
We stayed in Godshill Cottage which is a great cottage in a good location. Only criticism is the back garden where the hot tub is really needs some work, either slab it all or plant up the empty muddy flower beds. The hot tub itself is fab but the outlook in what is just a fenced in back yard with slabs to the hot tub and mud and no plants isn't great. There is a jacuzzi bath in the cottage but we couldn't get the jets to work in it, didn't report it and were not bothered about it as there were lots of lovely jets in the hot tub.
Would definitely stay there again. It was quiet in the bar this time of year (May) but I can imagine it would get very busy in school holidays. Entertainment team did a great job and were lovely, even though they only had a small audience.

Our first cottage was dirty. Everything was sticky. There were smashed tiles in the bathroom and electrics hanging off the ceiling and walls. There was rust and just general filth everywhere. The cups were so smelly. There was rubbish all on the outside and mud all over the floors inside. The hot tub was cold. The 2nd cottage wasnt much better but bearable. Highly disappointed and will not be returning

The cottage was in need of a refurbishment particularly the kitchen and bathroom. The hot tub was not under cover so was overlooked by other cottages and the garden was like a builders yard so getting in and out without getting dirty was impossible

overall pretty good, apart from building material outside of cottage so parking a bit akward, rear garden could do with sorting out

When we arrived at the cottage we found 2 light bulbs that had blown, luckily as we were a couple and were not using the other bedroom, we borrowed 2 of the light bulbs from in there to replace the broken ones. The cottage could do with a lick of paint and changing some of the furniture, the sofa really needs replacing, it was very small and not particularly comfortable and the double bed in the master bedroom was quite low and very squeaky, the rest of the furniture was okay. Great to see a fully kitted out kitchen, dishwasher, freezer and a washing machine with a drying function was great and these all worked well. The bathroom was nice, i was quite surprised to see a jet bath however it was disappointing when it didn't work. Mid way through our holiday i was contacted by someone in the maintenance team of Rookley to advise me that they needed to do some maintenance in our back garden as they are upgrading the access to the hot tubs and changing them from slabs to concrete. The man was really lovely and explained what work they would be doing and apologised for any inconvenience this may cause us. What he did not explain is that we were unable to use the hot tub for the last few evenings as the garden was inaccessible. This was incredibly disappointing for us as it was the last few nights of our holiday. I found out when speaking to the outsourced contractors that were completing the work that they had been provided the incorrect information from Rookley, they were advised me that they were told that we were vacating the cottage on Friday the 4th of March rather than Saturday the 5 of March which is why the work was completed in the first completed. They did apologise and advised me that i should speak to reception regarding the issue upon checking out to see if they would offer some more of compensation due to all of the problems mentioned. When speaking to receptionist, she apologised for all of the issues mentioned but there was no communication regarding compensation for this problem which was also rather disappointing. We were staying in Godshill Cottage number 9.
