Absolutely lovely holiday. The staff were helpful and accommodating. We arrived early and, as our cabin was still being cleaned, we were given tokens for a free beverage at the café/bar. The log cabin itself (Roydon VIP) was beautiful, spacious enough for us 4 adults to have plenty of room, and with a really lovely decor. Great facilities and the hot tub was huge, and nicely fenced off from view. There were a couple of extremely minor issues like the inner lights not working in the hot tub, and the radio not working in the (very fancy) shower, but they did not affect the quality of our stay whatsoever. It was lovely and quiet- despite the proximity to the station, when indoors you couldn't hear the trains going by at all. And the hot tub was ready as soon as we got there, even though we were told it may not have been ready til 8pm that night. Would definitely visit again, fantastic value for money!
Loved it shame about the weather
Enjoyed weekend, had an upgrade due to workmen occupying booked lodge. Pleased with lodge but could do with a makeover as looked a bit shabby!
Pleasant holiday park. Helpful staff
On arrival we were checked into our lodge before time so that was good.
From then on it went downhill. The lodges are not private at all . They are right on top of each other and not fenced in ( we had two dogs with us )
The train line runs along the back with trains going every 30mins and some young lad on a two stroke engine motorbike was riding up and down all weekend !!
It was not the peacefull getaway from it all weekend i had hoped for!!
The maintenance man for the hot tub would just wander round at any time of day to test the hot tub . Didnt even knock .
We will not be wasting our money here again !!
Lovely location and well conected to central London. Would definetly go again.
Lovely and quiet with a beautiful little village just a little walk away. The train station is walk-able which takes you straight through to London @ only £10 pp return. A really relaxing break :)
Good location for access to London. A little tired, but clean and well presented. Not a lot of space around the lodge, and we found it difficult to park our car in space provided (people carrier). That said - it is great for a family base to access London, with regular trains and the station only 10 minutes walk.
Lovely place in a great location. Clean and well maintained and good value for money for the weekend. Would definatly book again
We stayed here for a long weekend with 2 sets of twin babies and a 10 year old. On paper we didn't fit in the lodge as a party of 8, but the staff were excellent at reassuring us we would fit and continued to support us on arrival and throughout our stay. The lodge was spacious and clean and we never felt we were crowded. The hot tub was an added treat and again was clean and warm on arrival. The park itself doesn't have anything to do,especially for older children so it is a trip out everyday but it is a beautiful location and very peaceful.
Great place lovely holiday and kiddies loved it. Looking at booking again very soon.
Roydon marina village is a very pretty little place with lovely scenery as you drive through the village turning into the marina itself on a very narrow road. It is right next to a railway which is handy if you wish to travel to London. The trains were fairly frequent so the level crossing was often down, the noise wasn't too disturbing and the track from most parts of the village is mainly obscured by trees. The lovely restaurant on site had really nice food and the staff were very friendly.
The man on reception was abit rude for the past 2 visits - he doesn't seem to like being asked questions
Lovely Lodge. Great surroundings.
Overall realy nice place to relax and stay at.
