All breaks for all arrivals
First time I've taken a pet on holiday and was impressed with standard of caravan, thought I would have gotten one that was a lot older. Park was situated quite well for travelling to other areas.
With the beach and playground 5 minutes walk from our accommodation, this was the perfect holiday location for us! We would definitely consider this site again as was good for exploring the Lake District as well. Thank you!
You will need to update your photo of the caravan as it only has flagstone and breeze block (nothing like the picture as that is why I booked the caravan) steps with no handrails in which would of be more helpful. Felt a bit gutted that it was as basic as it was. Also not good that the only toilets we could use was in the caravan or the public facilities. The tv was to small for the main room. The step in the shower was very high for stepping out. When it rained the rain water can into the shower thorough the vent above ya head in the shower.
A great quiet little park which is close to the beach. A great pub next door for food. perfect for a quiet getaway!
Excellent park adjacent to a beautiful beach and access to lovely walks. Car parking charges a bit excessive. Due to an elderly relative, had to park there to get access to Beach Café and promenade/beach. [ Not the fault of Seacote Park of course.] Would definitely go back. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Didn't try the Seacote Hotel for food as on first entry, there was a damp, fusty smell.
Clean and comfortable accommodation and a good location to explore the western lakes
The place was advertised for people looking for "peace and quiet" - no such thing. Kids were running around and screaming until well after 11pm, adults weren't much better. Mind caravan's walls are paper thin and you could even hear people next door talking.
We've rented out larger caravan (Sandpiper) thinking it would be more comfortable. Nope. Bedrooms were tiny. It was incredibly hot inside - a bit of sun outside and it was heating up like a tin can and there was no any kind of ventilation. We had all windows and doors opened, and just managed to get temperature down to about 26C. Not good, especially when you came with 5 months old baby. Thunderstorm at night didn't help either, not Park's fault of course, but electricity was out half the night and all morning. No warm breakfast for anyone.
Needless to say, we booked for 3 nights, went back home after one. If you don't mind any of above, by all means go, surroundings are beautiful. Consider staying somewhere else though if you really want peace and quiet.
Great stay, as always :)
Would not go back.
Nice relaxing place to stay. Ideal for dogs.
Love this location - have been to this site many times. It's a uncommercialised part of the coast but with easy access to the western lakes. Nearby town Whitehaven - a bit down at heel but has made great strides forward since I started going to this site. Great walks around the golf course by the coast and into the village with a selection of friendly pubs. There was a slight temporary problem with tv reception but staff and owners very helpful.
great site and reception staff...clean comfy accomodation
Very relaxing...beautiful views from our caravan...beautiful place...will definitely be returning...loved it..
Fantastic location in a caravan right on the sea front with lovely views. Staff were very helpful and quick to respond to our queries. The caravan was clean and spacious. En suite to the double bedroom was much appreciated. Outdoor furniture and sharper cutlery would have improved our stay.
