Remote and peaceful, the pretty village of Moniave is well worth a visit, and other attractive towns within easy reach of our holiday parks include Moffat, dominated by its huge sandstone parish church and Langholm, home town of Thomas Telford and the poet Hugh MacDiarmid – to whom there’s a striking memorial outside town.
