Fishermen will be drawn to the River Tweed in Berwickshire for some of the best salmon fishing in the country while golfers are sure to be in paradise, there are so many superlative courses in East Lothian – and all within easy reach of our holiday parks in Edinburgh and the Borders.

Great houses and castles are a feature here – Bowhill House in Selkirkshire boasts a particularly fine art collection and Thirlestane Castle is one of the seven ‘Great Houses of Scotland’, and there are many more to explore when you enjoy caravan holidays in Edinburgh and the Borders.

But, undoubtedly, Edinburgh is the main attraction. Compact and beautiful, the heart of the city is a delightful blend of towering medieval buildings in the Old Town and the elegance of the Georgian New Town, and soaring above it all the massive splendour of the castle.
