Now a large country park, famed for the variety of its wildlife almost as much as for our hooded hero, the Forest is the setting for many family friendly activities and attractions.

Steeped in lore and legend, and inspiration for the novels of D H Lawrence, the landscape surrounding our holiday parks in Nottinghamshire is the peaceful backdrop to delightful market towns like Newark and Southwell, as well as great houses and gardens, such as Newstead Abbey, family home of the poet Byron.
