Accommodation was good but wasn't impressed by no proper food being served on a Sunday evening
A lovely location, very friendly staff and the accommodation was perfectly adequate for our requirements. Very good value for money.

Lovely place and great for little kids with the soft play, park and pool. Short walk to a few shops n shows with a bouncy castle. Chalet was nice n hot tub was great. Only downside was there was nowhere to hang towels to dry in the chalet or by the hot tub, which was a pain as had a wet towel for the whole trip. A towel rack in the bathroom n some hooks outside by t hot tub would be appreciated.

We booked this as a last minute weekend away with our dogs. It was definitely value for money; 2 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs all for under £150!!
The food in the restaurant was good value for money. The pool was clean however the Jacuzzi was no warmer then the pool.
Its a great place to take dogs and to walk around along the pebble/stoney beach.
We had a lovely time. The children were thrilled with all the activities.
The staff were very much child friendly.
Maintainance staff came straight away when our hot water was not working in the shower.
The site was was very clean and well looked after.

Site is dated as is Silloth town.
The facilities were good, especially the all weather pitch and playground.
Stayed in the North Lake plus lodge No.1 is private (unlike the other), great hot-tub, very clean lodge.
Would not return due to location and dated site in general.
No proper information about the facilities, Pool was always full, after 6 o'clock hardly find any services or customer services apart from Bartenders.
Best location but worse customer service.

Had a Fantastic easter weekend here with a 4 year old and a 9 month old
Our chalet was suffering from damp problems as the smell was evident as soon as we walked in, even though the windows had been left open. The overall park facilities were ok for the price we paid and the grounds appeared nicely kept. The evening entertainment was very good while we were there and the pizzas from the restaurant were very tasty. The kids loved the swimming pool and this was well managed and kept clean. It was just a shame we were given a substandard chalet which was disappointing given we had booked one with a hot tub. The hot tub was clean, but we were unable to use it the night before we left as it was not reaching full temperature which was annoying.
The caravan was a lovely size and well equipped, although storage was minimal and the mattresses needed replacing! The bar/restaurant wasn't very efficient, although that could be because it was the beginning of the season.
Staff were excellent and facilities were good in theory, but in practice the swimming pool was far too cold the changing rooms not big enough for the amount of people using it each session and the showers were freezing. The childrens entertainment in the evening was a bit more for the staff than the children we thought. Again I would like to say the staff were very helpful especially the young girl with brown hair that was making the beds in the caravan on our arrival.
Not as advertised. We were looking forward to an activity packed weekend with the kids but were sorely disappointed.
Looking forward to taking our toddler to the farm but informed by reception staff (who was eating at her desk) that it has been closed since last year and unsure if will reopen. Yet to see the advertised train either.
On our three night trip we had one visit to the swimming pool, it was freezing. The main door opens straight onto the pool area. I've never before seen lifeguards working with coats on!
The hot tub was warm at best and in need of a good service as jets were very weak.
When we stayed (bank holiday Easter weekend so paid over the odds) the park was fully booked yet one of the pubs was closed (the Irish bar) and unless you queued up outside in the cold it was impossible to get a seat in the upstairs bar to watch the evening entertainment. This lead to large queues in the onsite pub (the nags head) there were plenty of staff working. You got served pretty quickly but the problem was the lack of tills. There was only one till for the entire pub so by the time you got to pay you were ready to queue again!
The food in the pub also left a lot to be desired. One night I ordered steak, I tried to order sirloin from the overpriced but the bar staff seemed surprised at the order saying they didn't have any as it wasn't steak night. She appeared genuinely shocked when informed it was on the menu!! I was instead offered flat iron steak for just one pound less which I took as felt 'on the spot' to order with the huge queue behind me. I was a little taken aback at the size of the price difference between the steaks as percentage wise flat iron is much cheaper than sirloin to buy in. When the meal arrived it was inedible. More fat than meat.
All above point considered the holiday wasn't a complete disaster. When we complained about the steak we were swiftly given a full refund. The staff were all lovely and helpful and trying to make the best of the resources available to them. The problem appears to be that the park is badly managed.
The cabins although very dated were very clean. The workforce really are a credit to the holiday park but unfortunately it really doesn't have anything else going for it.
The lodge was ok but all the other facilities were unkempt and dirty the pool area was filthy and freezing with no proper lighting in the swimming pool so I would not be staying there again
Had a lovely stay in chalet hot tub was superb. Great location for visiting lake district.
