The kitchen facilities need a serious up-date. Freezer compartment of Fridge minus door and in need of defrosting. Kettle needed padding to make electrical connection, microwave did not seem to work at all. That said, the accomodation was comfortable, beds good, shower and toilet/washing facilities good. Surroundings very peaceful, all in all a pleasant short break.
Staff on site notable by their absence, however we did not need them, key was in the door on arrival so we cleaned up and locked the door on our way out.
good for relaxing and fishing, cabins are in need of some dyi, painting etc
not ready on arrival
Stayed here for my Hubby's 65th birthday. To say I was disappointed was an understatement! When we arrived, we were very pleased with the setting of the lodge, right beside the fishery. However, when we got into the lodge, we were very disappointed. Totally run down, and desperately needing a good clean. Saving grace was the bedding was clean, as were the towels, and the lodge was lovely and warm. Otherwise, what a letdown. Please, get someone in to do a spring clean!!
I was meant to be in a lodge for the disabled but I do not see how the the lodge I was in was equipped for this purpose and what was there for it to be called this. I also was suppose to be in a double room but both rooms were twins.
Loved the place,so peaceful and lovely scenery. The Lodge was very comfortable and cosy, being winter time.I definately want to go back and stay again.
a great quiet holiday to chill out and enjoy the area defo will be going back
very expensive in the summer months .I HAVE BEEN 4 TIMES NOW.
Beautiful setting, property tired needs refurbishment
heating stopped working and there was some problems with mice
The location is great. We didnt encounter any staff so I cant comment on that
nice relaxing break in lovely surroundings
have been 6 times, for last three years door has been broken on ice box compartment. The toilets seat was also broken. Beds are terrible, cobwebs everwhere, needs general maintainance. Still a lovely place to go to relax and fish
We have been going to Springwater Lodges for 8 plus years, mostly 3 times a year. We all love the area, very quiet and peaceful, yet only 10 mins drive into Atr town centre, so you have the best of both worlds really.
The lodges themselves are basic but very comfortable. They have everything you would ever need, very well equiped. The power shower is amazing, freeview television, even a washing machine, toaster, cooker, microwave, ironing board, fridge freezer, and a veranda to sit out on.
The views are stunning from the lodges, very picturesque. If it's peace and quiet your after these are perfect for you.The staff are also extremely helpful, if you ever have a problem just go down to the fishery and they will contact the owner of the lodges Danny, who could not be nicer and will help you out with whatever problem you may have.
The lodges could do with a bit of updating, however this does not stop us from going up all the time.
we enjoyed our stay it was what we were expecting but for some people it may be a bit isolated
