What a disappointment! The chalet was filthy, Food was over priced and the shop was extortionate! Budget is the word! It was more like faulty towers!
Had a lovely family holiday in July!
as a dog owner fantastic walks at the siteand the area.... excellent for seeing what the area had to offer.
Had to ask 3 times for the fridge to be mended. Had to ask 3 times for the double mattress to be changed.
Accommodation was dirty and damp. I am 7 months pregnant and had a 18mth baby and was concerned about the health risks
The best thing about it was the staff and the lovely accommodation, the pool and bar area is little dated but overall loved it.
The staff where very friendly, and the evening entertainment was very good
We enjoyed the environment but we did not use the facilities which was really our own choice
We had a family celebration and booked 4 chalets before Christmas, I asked that we could be close together, this did not happen, we arrived at 4pm did not get in until 7pm, We were not offered a compliment drink, and were told that 8 staff were sick, I said in that case you had better shut the camp down as it would seem like an epidemic, I got the impression staff had walked out. The chalet was clean and although we had enough heaters our granddaughters did not. When we went to ask how much longer we had to wait at 5.30 we were told to queue again for our key only to be told it still was not busy.
Pity swimmimg pool didn't open until ten
Excellent value for money. Very close to the town St. Ives.
Great location for seeing the southern part of Cornwall, even as far as Lizard Point. Set in peaceful surroundings. Had facilities we needed - shop, restaurant, launderette. Didn't use the bar/entertainment or swimming pool. Good supply of tourist info and area where you could sit comfortably and use wifi. Would be better if wifi was in accommodation.
Upon our arrival we had to cut back brambles. The interior was very dated and tired. The sofa had a bad smell to it. In the two weeks of staying there our bedding was not changed. And on at least 4 occasions our bedding was damp. So unless the accommodation is upgraded we would not come back or recommend to anyone
Lovely suroundings, challet very clean, the furniture could have been a bit more comfortable . Overall it was ok. Would definitely go again .
This is the third time we have stayed here. The staff are great & really do try to help whenever they can, but they are hindered by the limited resources at their disposal.
