The chalet was old fashioned but clean and comfortable and containing everything necessary for a comfortable stay. The bedrooms, lounge and kitchen were all ok and of a good size, but the bathroom was far too small with no room to move in it!!! It had a shower, but in the Hoseasons brochure it says these chalets had a bath. 3 of the window clasps were broke so had to be closed from outside by pushing them shut. The bed was very comfy to sleep in and as the park was quiet, it was easy to get a good nights sleep. we used to stay in chalets like this back in the 1970s when I went on holidays as a child. It is nice to see they have lasted so long, but I think its time for an update now.

Dated, dirty damaged. The bathroom needed major work and toliet wasn't fixed to fool properly. Bed one of the worst I've ever slept in. The bed linen was tired and had holes in it. Overall needed a complete refit.

Poor Accomodation and a terrible park in general needs a massive overhaul.

Shabby, in need of repair, dark, damp in shadow.
No shower, and name of bronze indicates you would get a better quality.

Again, it would benefit from a little work to make the stay more pleasurable.

Helpfulness of staff
Nice park set in woodland but surprisingly not too gloomy, even in October. Very popular evening entertainment for all the family from 6pm till midnight, and a kid's club during the day which was well attended. Staff in general worked incredibly hard while we were there over half-term. Cafe/take-away the best food I have experienced in a holiday park. Good sized pool with sauna - changing rooms and area around the pool OK but in need of an upgrade. Shop as expected. Smaller and separate amusement arcade - so less of a temptation or pressure to spend too much. The park works well as a base from which to explore during the day and come back to for evening entertainment.

Bungalow was better than expected after seeing some of the reviews. We will go back in the future.

We stayed over the half term and found the park quite busy. Silver chalet was clean, warm and cosy. Everything we needed. The staff were all friendly and helful. Pool was smaller than we thought but clean facilities. In all a great holiday in a lovely place in the world.
Good location for exploring Cornwall. Reasonable accommodation, clean and warm. Bed very hard though.
Swimming pool in need of up dating and not the best set up for the changing areas.
Our accommodation was absolutely fine, we had what we paid for all equipment needed eg. For the kitchen area provided ,along with bedding, iron, ironing board and airer. Lovely quiet location with lovely woodland walks. Our only concern was with facilities for children. The pool needs a instant update especially the changing rooms. It was packed when we went with nowhere to change privately anyway we were left to leave belongings in a corner while we swam as no facilities for them. Showers were cold and floors grubby. Not a great experience. We went once in our 5 day stay as children didn't like it. The arcade had a few games and others were turned off...only games available for children were either 50p/£1 a go lasting minute or so ...leaving it expensive 30 mins. Was too wet for mini golf or park so we were then limited on site during day making us go out for the day most days.
Staff were helpful enough and evening entertainment was ok however several games of bingo plus cash games all added up as the entertainment staff hounded us as soon as we sat down to buy tickets for extra games , raffles etc.
Can't fault the area the park is set it. And accommodation.
Bungalow was damp and smelly, had to ask for the bedding as was not in the rooms. Not a good start with three tired children. The complex needs a big update if it wants the visitors to return
Chalet smelt damp. Oven grill badly smoked so could not use. Mattresses very thin so on double felt very hard. Disappointed as we thought it was very basic.
The holiday site was lovely, the accommodation was just right,TV was a bit to small for the room, but otherwise the beds were comfy there was heating as well. The campsite facilities were good, the food was really good, the club house was big but not to big.
The arcades and the palynology area kept our children happy, the pool was not to bad,a little cold in the water, but a slide my eldest son loved.

Accommodation was very basic even though I was told "it's one of the best on the park" it was last minute and it was very cheap but if I had paid full price I would not have been impressed. Site itself is lovely- was perfect for what we wanted. Pool is great.

We were after a dog friendly holiday and couldn't have chosen better. The abundance of close woodland walks were ideal. The grandchildren appreciated the free table tennis and playing on the free x box. The swimming pool was warm and clean and the sauna was good.
Staff are under trained and rude, I know it's the end of the season but a broken coffee machine, dirty glass cups with dead flies on, a drunk female customer getting served even though she's loud and arguing? So wrong! This was our 25th visit, we always call ahead to ask that the fridge be on for my insulin, nope, no fridge on! Entertainment is awful late season as well, with young staff making inappropriate comments about customers, all in all, after years of smashing holidays there , the last two years have been awful, I wouldn't recommend again to anyone, which makes me sad!

Over all it was a great holiday, location was brilliant ,staff very friendly and helpful, the bungalow I stay in was clean and everything I needed for a selfcatering holiday. I enjoyed every minute there , that much we have rebooked for next year 2016. Really looking forward to returning , see you all next year. I would recommend this to anybody.Happy Holidays everyone.

I was absolutely disgusted with the chalet we stayed in even if it was the cheapest. Originally, we planned on taking our dog but we ended up leaving him at home because of the long journey. When we arrived, the chalet smelt like 'wet dog' and was dirty with mud on the carpets, stains on the drinking glasses and cutlery and marks all over the walls with hundreds of cob webs. We actually had to wash all of the crockery before we used it. The shower was full of mould and the water did not drain properly leaving water overflowing. On top of all of this the bathroom door was hanging off the hinges with a huge crack down it.. are we supposed to use the toilet whilst being watched? The bedroom lights did not even work... I think you are meant to sit in the dark all evening. As there was five of us, we had to use the sofa bed in the living room which, because of the layout of the television unit, could not even be pulled out properly. We were all biten like crazy by what we believe to be flees which is just utterly disgraceful.. (it cannot be our dog as we are extremely adament on fleeing him regularly and we did not have bites at home). Luckily we only stayed here for 3 nights as there is no way we would have stayed there any longer and we will certainly not be returning to this horrible chalet. I would not recommend staying here...

Stayed at holiday park at the end of September/beginning October in silver chalet. Accommodation was great value for money, it was everything we needed and very clean.
Staff were very helpful as they were during previous visit and our 2.5yr old loves the entertainment team and the foxy gang.
Great location in Cornwall to go out and about from.
This is our 2nd visit to St Ives holiday village and would recommend it and are likely to book again.

A famously mild climate, gorgeous beaches, picturesque villages and top attractions – enjoy them all when you stay at one of our holiday parks in South Cornwall. It’s all about the sea in the far South West, and Hoseasons offer caravan holidays in South Cornwall near some of the region’s most popular resorts are all easily accessible. Surfers flock to catch the waves all along the coast from Sennen to Newquay and Bude, and while Gwithian Beach offers the best kite and windsurfing in the country, there are also miles of clean, sandy beaches and lively resorts perfect for family days out – yours to enjoy when you book Hoseasons caravan holidays in North Cornwall. The spectacular coastline is great for walking too. The Camel Trail, a disused railway line following the River Camel between Bodmin and Padstow, is now a superb walking and cycling path, and inland you’ll find a glorious landscape of hidden valleys and sweeping moorland dotted with ancient stone circles and steeped in legend. A visit to King Arthur’s castle at Tintagel is a must, and artists have long been lured to the picturesque town of St Ives, for its special quality of light and the loveliness of its coastal setting.
