When we arrived my wife had to sweep and hoover all the floors. The kitchen sink had a layer of dirt in it as if they emptied dirty water from a bucket and didn't rinse it away.
The play park is more for older children not safe for younger. The only thing for under 6 years old is a soft play area which is like a shoe box and kids get bored very easily.
Took my 3 kids swimming and my cousin took his 4 kids in and all of us ended up unwell with sore throats blocked noses. Two of my kids and one of my cousins ended up with sore tummy.
Changing rooms were jam packed to the point there was a que for each cubicle people falling over each other to get in to lockers.
The food in the cafe was ok but more for lunch or snacks and cost a fortune. If you wanted a good family meal with young children you couldn't even go in to silloth. There was absolutely nothing there. We ended up going into workington for a meal which was 16 miles away.
The atm in the reception didn't work for us the whole time we were there as it "needed a signal to connect to internet" and never had one. We needed to go to silloth any time we wanted money.
The only thing that was good about the holiday was the night time entertainment but it started at 7pm through till 11.30pm so we had to keep our already tired children up really late past their bed time so they could have fun.

We have stayed at stanwix park many times over the past 20years and have always found it to be a great holiday park, very well kept through out.The entertainment is always top class and is always one of the high points of our stay.We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great holiday.
Lovely place to stay will go back next year as we had the best holiday in this country for a very long time the apartment was home from home and was more than we excepted
We have been going to Stanwix park for over 20 years and find it the best park in England.

This excellent caravan, camping and cabin park has two swimming pools (indoor and out); a sauna, steam room and gym; shop and dining facilities. Though we didn't go for the on sight entertainment, folk we encountered while walking the dogs (yes, this place is dog friendly) spoke well of what was on offer, including children who said they enjoyed breakfast with a fox and a vixen ... !!!???
We were able to do a very satisfactory antiques road trip sort of loop around local towns and were close enough to the border to pop across into Scotland - or free Britain as we North westerners affectionately refer to Alba.
Swimming pool changing facilities very poor. Not enough room and not enough benches to put stuff on when getting changed.
Caravans were nice and clean
Lovely holiday lovely place staff could not have been nicer

Nice quiet site ideal for families with children.
Always a pleasure staying at Stanwix park lovely site
I was a little disappointed as having a dog there was nowhere to take him on the site, for instance an outside seating area where there were refreshments. Is basically it was either stay in the caravan, which was a very poor standard or go to the complex
