10th - 26th APRIL
All breaks for all arrivals
very noisy a bit more thought on my part about just how close we were to container yard
, could not get a loan of an iron apparently the sites only have 1 each and both had gone missing. maybe a charge for hiring them would be a solution.
bought one for argos as we were attending a wedding.
Great holiday at underrated location
We loved Suffolk Sands! It was quiet, just as we wanted it. Our autistic son wasn't overwhelmed by noisy clubs etc, so if you want sth quiet, go there. People complain about harbour noises but you can honestly live with that, wasn't a big deal. As long as kids were happy, safe and had fun, we were happy too. Had a good rest as well. Staff was very helpful.
Our second stay here, very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful setting, stones throw from the gorgeous beach. You can hear the docks but does not disturb you and the children loved being the first to spot the ships coming in and out. Would definitely return.
It was good location but the accommodation and the facilities and staff was not helpful. We never go again there
Had a lovely short break in an area we haven't visited before, but would love to return to. We are retired and we took our 6 year old grandson with us. We chose a caravan for the three of us to give us separate bedrooms, flexible dining and somewhere to relax at night. We booked a Gold plus caravan, but found the caravan allocated was pretty basic, and the mattress in the double room, very tired and worn out. We understood a "Gold plus" was a 2015 caravan, and we were expecting a 42" tv and everything to be in fairly new condition. The tv was much smaller than this and the
other facilities were showing signs of wear. Quite disappointed with the accommodation although it was clean. The staff were great and the location of the site so convenient for the beach etc., The quietness of the site suited us as we enjoyed our days walking and being next to the sea.
Was very relaxing as did not want a site with entertainment. Could hear docks at times but living under a flight path at home it did not bother us.
Me and my partner have been here twice now and have had an excellent holiday both times. We love the area and we highly recommend to everyone. We will be coming again alot more. This is deffinately our little holiday escape and could see us buying a caravan here
Although very close to the beach which was nice, being so close to the docks meant noise particularly at night depending on wind direction. Staff very friendly. though and made welcome. Buses outside camp only run every hour, so long walk into town if haven't got a car. Finally disappointed wished I had booked the caravan only a couple weeks before needed, as charged nearly twice as much for booking early.
Though next to Felixstowe container port and with few on site facilities, we generally enjoyed our stay at Suffolk Sands and would consider going again. The nearby nature reserve and the good coast line are a plus. The night-time noise from the container terminal was something we could live with. The caravan was clean. Our only major gripe was that when we arrived there was a mass of litter and cigarette buts outside the caravan door, which we had to clear up before we could feel at home. Staff were generally helpful.
A bit noisy from the docks.
We were in a silver caravan, thensite is right next to the beach and got a lovely park for kids of all ages. A bit of a walk to the nearest shop so make sure you remember everything from home! (Also you will need a tin opener if u take tinned food but other cutlery is provided) we had to leave very early on our first morning there as the heater didnt work but because we didnt go to use the heater until th evening the office was closed. It was freezing all night, we had our 7 month old baby and our 5 year old, our baby was awake all night due to how cold it was, that was with a wooly hat, gloves and countless blankets and duvet wrapped round her. The weather was not anyones fault obviously but maybe staff should have checked everything was working before customers arrive. Apart from that was a lovely caravan, and perfect for a couple with no children if your after a quiet get away next to the beach. Just gutted we paid all that money but only got 1 night stay out of it :(
Good basic holiday
Incredibly noisy day and night because of close proximity of Felixstowe dock
We stayed on Easter long weekend. Caravan park was really great. Staff was also lovely, so we definitely come back in the future. There was only one bad thing... it was really cold, but other than that...everything was perfect!!! :) Thank You!
