Came here Easter weekend , throughly enjoyed
We arrived at park at 17.30, on arrival the office was shut and had to ring an emergency telephone number to get key, on literature emailed to us it said we had till 8pm to arrive, so we were annoyed about this, and on our departure we left the caravan at 9.45 only to find the office was closed again! so we didnt actually see any member of staff apart from a lady with a hoover who we gave the key to!The caravan itself was very clean and modern and we go to westward ho every year so we knew the surrounding area.
Fab break. Staff great.
I didn't have a good experience of this site. The caravans are very close together, just enough for a car between vans. I could see clearly what the man in the next caravan was watching on tv. We didn't go with children but usually do have our holidays with the children and I wouldn't take little ones here. The vans are all road front so it wouldn't be safe to let them play outside. Our caravan was number 10, not a spacious caravan, the cooker needs replacing, it took us one and a half hours to cook two chicken legs then ended up having to frying them. The bathroom is very small, smallest bathroom I have seen in a caravan. We had a bronze caravan, I assumed it meant that it was not so well equipped but in fact the caravan was most uncomfortable, the seating is well past its best. the doors were pealing the vaneers , the bedrooms to small to dress in, the heater in the bathroom didn't work, if the oven door was open no one could pass you in the kitchen area. On the upside the van was cleaned well. Its in one of the most beautiful places in Devon, a perfect seaside town. The site is known as a quiet site due to the fact its away from the town and only has a laundry on it. There is building work going on, not to bad as we were not close to where it was happening. I would not go back to this site, I think it would be good for surfers as your right by the sea. I would also say not disabled friendly. As a disabled traveller I found it very hard to get around.
