Overall the holiday was great, would have been fabulous had the weather behaved itself :-)
We have been to Tattershall Lakes for 4 years running and we are never disappointed by the free air show we receive. My children 8 & 5 (also hubby, 33) love to watch the planes flying and this is the reason we visit.
We were however disappointed that the disabled shower (my husband is disabled) is still broken from our visit last year and would benefit from being mended. We were also disappointed at the heat (or lack of) of the pool, I have a 6 month old who we had been looking forward to taking into the pool, only for her to turn blue and have to be taken out, despite being advised on the Sunday morning by one of the leisure staff that it would be warm enough to take her in.
The power kept going out at night so sitting in the dark was no fun and scarey for my kids and also ruined a meal we started cooking so would never ever go there again
Throughout our stay over three nights the electricity was frequently interrupted by power failure and the water supply was also off for many hours at a time. Due to these failures the clubhouse was not available during Sunday for lunches or drinks.
Would not recommend this holiday park to anyone!
The place and site is very nice but unfortunately i cant say i really enjoyed my caravan holiday . The weather wasn't nice ,it was windy and although im sure its very good and lots of things to do in the summer it was boring with few entertainment for the kids while the weather was not good.
Some of the pub/restaurant where shut it may have been the time we arrived. My partner wished to join the gym but no one was there to allow him to join so we were not allowed to use the gym for the first two days until someone was available this was very disappointing as the gym is one of the main reasons we chose this site.
had fab time, cabin very clean in side, beds already made up with fresh linning, all staf very friendly, lots of room between cabins you dont feel over look, site peaceful, (march) would stay again
First time here but would highly recommend, the only downside was that there is not enough seating round the lake for you to just sit and chill with a book or just to watch the wildlife, signs were noticed stating private, just seems that lodges take priority over the beauty of the lakes. Also would have been nice to have been told when booking that some facilities were unavailable due to referbishment.
Lovely place great for kids a bit pricey
Lovely park, very clean and well ran. The swimming pool water was very cold though.
Nice surroundings very clean and tidy. Beer over priced food also on site and not very good value for money. Entertainment was ok but pretty much the same every night not enough variety will not go again.as above
We liked the park but was disappointed with the club house so only used it once during our stay. The staff we spoke to on arrival and on leaving were polite and helpful.
The site is lovely and has an amazing setting around lakes and ponds. There is activities for children but only last half an hour 3 times a day but the staff are lovely to them.
Food was not served until 6 which we found too late with young children Change was not available for. The arcade so so it was difficult at tines to keep going children entertained
Was a great holiday and place. The swimming pool and facilities however are very small at busy times and to accommodate guests.
We stayed in a lovely lodge in peaceful surroundings and have booked again for next year. Children's entertainment was great.
the shop could be inproved
