Used the chalet purely as a base and did not avail ourselves of the facilities but we found
everything that we needed was there. The reception staff were very helpful.

The Chalet was clean and the bed very comfortable. Overall very basic accommodation but good value for money. We thought the complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits and toiletries were a lovely touch.
The Chalet was facing and close to a very busy main road, which made it difficult to feel relaxed due to the constant traffic noise.
We didn't really enjoy the surrounding area. There were no pubs within walking distance, so finding somewhere to eat and go for a drink in the evening was a problem.

I rented a 1 bedroomed chalet for a week while working locally. I was intending to rent the chalet for a further 7 weeks but decided not to: it had a lot of potential but was sadly let down in a couple of ways. When I arrived in the evening, the heating had been put on ready so it was nice and warm, but had an odd strong stale smell. It had a clean and well equipped little kitchen in an open plan sitting/dining area, a compact but functional WC/shower room, and unlimited hot water. It was nicely decorated and had new curtains. Although superficially clean, on closer inspection there were numerous dead insects on all the windowsills, behind the bed and behind the settee (as if the chalet had been cleaned at the end of the previous season, left unoccupied over winter, then not re-cleaned before I was first in for the new season); also some strange brown sticky balls on the carpet behind the bed (? melted sweets ? animal droppings). So I hoovered and wiped down the entire chalet the first night. The bed had a clean but old bobbly sheet on top of unpleasant plastic topped mattress cover which it had stuck to; I arrived after the site office had closed and was out at work during office opening hours the rest of the week so was unable to ask for another sheet (I left a note of complaint on leaving). I went out and bought a new sheet and re-made the bed with a blanket on top of the mattress instead; the bed was then fine. With a bit more effort from the site owners, this chalet could have been really nice. Had I been coming here on holiday, I would have been disappointed.
