What better way to see Venice than from the water, guiding your own craft through the Venetian lagoon? Bellissimo!
Regional food and drink
You will always eat well in Italy, but the Veneto region has a few regional specialities that you can try during your time here. White asparagus and radicchio are both grown in the area, so feature heavily in many dishes. A regional variety of chicken, the Gallina Padovana, is also used in numerous tasty recipes.
Prosecco, Valpolicella and Grappa are all produced here too, so you'll have no shortage of worthy drinks with which to toast the setting sun at the end of another perfect day.
