We enjoyed our holiday. The location was beautiful but rather cut off (an 18 mile drive before being able to access any amenity or visitor attraction) and there is little to do on the site. The caravan was good for our needs but a little shabby. When we arrived it smelled strongly of stale cigarette smoke, which took most of the week to clear. The mattresses were lumpy and uncomfortable. Our children thought it was great though, and if the site had even a small play ground it would have made it heaven for them.
Clean and tidy, beautiful scenery, very quiet, midges a bit of a nuisance. Really liked it. Would go again.
The road to the park was surreal, I thought we were never going to get there, the park it self was nice and also the manager Sean was very helpful, but alas the weather was against us rain, rain and more rain, although we were looking for something quiet for ourselves and dog, this was just one step to far, sorry
stayed here in august in one of the caravans, on arrival we where greeted by Sean , the park manager, who was very nice and helpful. The site it's self could do with some improvements, for example pot holes filled around the site, the caravan needs a little updating and proper gravel to park the car on, so you don't walk mud all through the accommodation. The area is beautiful, with lots of walks in the area. This park is very rural, the nearest town is Selkirk which is about 50 minutes drive.
Very remote and involved a lot of travelling to go anywhere, roughly 30miles to the nearest town with supermarket. Lovely surroundings for the drive but just too remote for us, especially with a toddler and no play facilities on site.
Fab relaxing time. Nothing to spend money on was great. Kids & dog loved the walks. Recommend it :-) only one point I made to site owners was in our cabin double bed only needed new mattress but it didn't spoil. We coped :-) thank u & defo going back
We had a great time.
We had a great time at Angecroft Park. Within easy reach of some truly wonderful countryside. Helpful and friendly staff. We arrived home feeling relaxed after our week away.
The most beautiful area, and the most friendly place, the whole family loved it so much. Nothing is too much trouble for the on site wardens, Sean and Linda... We can't wait to go back.
A nice quiet place to get away from the normal hustle and bustle that you get from the larger camp sites. Went out of there way to make you feel welcome and couldn't do enough to make you feel at ease. No problem too big or too small. Nice touch with the hospitality pack. Would go back again .
Lovely quiet place to relax. Not a lot nearby for small children or on an evening. Ideal place for hikers, cyclists, runners or just to get away from it all. 18 mile ride to nearest town for supplies.
Great holiday lovely location and total peace and quiet loads of wildlife staff very helpful and friendly our first time here and will defo be back
Best holiday we have ever had. Great area for getting away from the rat race with amazing walks especially if you have a dog and if you want beautiful scenery. Sean and Lynn were brilliant, very friendly and helpful. We will be booking again for next year.
Great holiday park. Quiet location. Staff made you very welcome.
I feel there is nothing for familys unless you like walking .the nearest shops are about 30 miles away plus there were no swings or slides for the children.i feel they could do better but I had a lovely holiday.
