Amazing, been twice, will def be going again.
This is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday, quiet but there is loads to do in the surrounding area. We had a very peaceful holiday and the staff were brilliant, even though they hadn't been there long themselves they had made a real effort to get to know the area and told us of all the things they had been to. They were extremely welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Nice area for walking or cycling , not much for children to do, 2 hour drive to shops and zoo , no signal from mobile phones
What a spectacular part if the world to spend a week away at! Idyllic. The park is lovely...clean...and peaceful. When we arrived we were met by Lynda, who informed us that we had been upgraded due to the boiler not working in our accommodation. We were appreciative. The lodge was arranged at short notice and was clean, warm and very welcoming with complimentary coffee milk etc waiting for us. The road is not as bad as we had first thought after reading previous reviews but there is no phone signal (we are on O2 and Vodafone) and WiFi only over at the owners shop. Over all neither if us could fault our stay and we will be back.
The staff were very rude and we were left without power for nearly 10 hours no one had the decency to let us know.
We had to keep chasing the staff when we arrived at the park they were rude, never had this experience before with previous owners I feel we should get compensation for being left without power.
Beautiful location, clean, spacious cabins with beautiful surrounding's only downfall is the closest town is not walking distance. Other than that fantastic.
Angecroft park is literally in the middle of nowhere. This was not advertised to us at all. We had 0 phone reception and couldn't even call SOS if we needed it. We arrived after a 5 hoyr drive with two young children not expecting to be another 45 minute drive from the closest town and 45 minutes back (which, might I add was the smallest town known to man and had a sainsburys local as its "supermarket")
The location of the actual site, ignoring its remoteness, was a lovely site and very tidy. We arrived to an unmanned reception with a note that said we needed to call someone. With 0 phone reception this was obviously not possible. I noticed a pay phone to which luckily I had 20p to use it. I called and the lady said check in was 4pm (it was 3:10pm). I explained I had two young children and was it possible to check in early to which she finally agreed. If we ever returned it would not be with children
The park is very remote, as far away from anywhere you could get in this country. Yet only 40 miles from Edinburgh! Many single track roads with passing places and cattle grids.
If you want a totally relaxing break, Angecroft is the place. Cabins are spacious, warm and have everything you need. Make sure you take plenty of food and drink and you won't go wrong. We're definitely going back. Dog friendly too! Brilliant. :)
ABSOLUTE HIDDEN GEM, THE "B" ROAD IS NARROW BUT IS PASSABLE WITH ONCOMING VEHICLES S ALSO NOT A DIRT TRACK. THE OWNER AND STAFF WERE VERY WELCOMING AND HELPFUL AND GREAT TO TALK TOO. IF YOUR WANT SOLITUDE THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY. PLENTY OF WIDLIFE TO WATCH, IF YOU REQUIRE ONSITE ENTERTAINMENT OR NIGHTCLUB FACILTIES THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO STAY.
Angecroft Park was very quiet but was just what we were looking for, Had a fab time there and would definitely return
This is a great location for scenic beauty and quiet pleace, bear in mind it's 20 miles from the nearest town of any note!
Great little remote park for a get away from it all break. Excellent location for walking and outdoors pursuits but winter access could prove an issue. We left early as we were concerned that any ice/snow may be a major problem on a B-track access road.
Great place and wonderful value for money. Went with teenagers who enjoyed the area despite lack of mobile service. Beautiful area nice base to explore from.
Myself and my bestfriend stayed at Angecroft Park early this month as a break away for our busy lifestyles. The side owners was very abrupt with the way they spoke to you and wasn't very helpful in the slightest!!
The Friday we arrived at the Park we was very tired after traveling all the way from the North and we decided to get a shower, they didn't have any towels, role or a iron for our clothing. The log cabin it's self was extremely dusty and durty. The flooring throughout the cabin had big duty patches etc!!
It total we didn't have a nice experience and we definitely won't go back EVER again.
