Peaceful location. Friendly staff. We would definitely recommend it to everyone. Brilliant holiday
Loved it! Will go again! Owners and manager very helpful and friendly! Lodge really well fitted out with everything you need.
We Loved it here and so did our dog, was so relaxing loved the hot tub was so nice during the evenings didn't want to go home, will be returning again very soon!
We really enjoyed our stay at Athelington Hall Farm. The hot tub was the largest I've been in and there were printed menus for local restaurants which meant we could make a really informed decision about where to go. I also loved the positioning of the hot tub as you can easily be completely private. Some people commented that having no covering on it isn't great in rainy weather, we loved it though as it means you can lie in it and look straight up at the stars which is really magical! A couple of small improvements: windows were a bit dirty and one towel each isn't really enough as you need a separate one for hot tub and shower because of the chlorine. Our quilt cover wasn't in great shape either, all ripped down one side and half of another, looked like it had needed to be replaced for a while. Tip: take some food with you if you don't want to eat out all the time as take away isn't great in the area, everything is very far away apart from a cash-only chinese which is fine. Overall, I would stay again as the lodge was beautifully laid out and we had a wonderful time.
A great place to stay, very secluded which we liked. Had a 4 year old with our group who loved the extra touch of a giant trampoline. Only criticism is that the hot tub had functions that did not work that had been reported since well over a year before. Would definitely stay again, lovely clean and homely place. Great!
FROM START TO FINISH GREAT EXPERIENCE GREAT HOST WHO COULD NOT DO ENOUGH
Lodge was clean and spacious , everything needed was there. Car is essential,
This log cabin retreat was simply the best, quiet secluded site.
absolutely loved our stay here. had the most relaxing time which is just what we were after. had an issue with our hot tub but were given the cabin next door to use. amazing place, great staff. 100% will be staying here again.
This is the second time my partner and I have been here and we love it. it's so quiet and peaceful but, you do need a car to get around.
We had a wonderful time but I felt the games room was very tired and in need of improvement. If I had had children with me I would have been very disappointed (or they would have been)
I felt the cabin was becoming a little tired too although my nephew had another cabin which was very well kept
The biggest problem with the place was how fast people drove down the drive With our dogs we were never able to rest A sign to slow down or a sleeping policeman would maybe work
We wouldn't go back simply because of the fast road. My nephew loved it and is returning (he doesn't have children or dogs)
Very peaceful. Not much there but a perfect place to get away from it all. Staff really helpful.
Arrived early was made welcome and could go into lodge immediately. The weather was great all week which made the break even better.Ideal for taking our dog who made friends with the farms own dogs.Lodge was furnished well, beds made up and were confortable.Would have prefered a freezer in the lodge and a washing machine, but these were available onsite.A car is essential for this holiday. Will be going back very soon.
Loved every minute.
