Fantastic location, excellent holiday in every weay
That's our fourth time at the lodge. We love it. It's a great place to just 'hole in' if you want to have some time out. However it's a great base camp if you want to go exploring the local area. My one minor gripe is the Wi-Fi which is a bit hit and miss. This is quit an important issue for us as we still have to run our business when we are away. You can't have everything I guess! We'll certainly be back. It's a bit of a tradition now to have a week here every year.
Avon Wood ideal, for a relaxing and trouble free holiday.R
A really good location close to all the main places for shopping, eating out and walking.
Will have no hesitation in booking this lodge again- we had a great holiday.
Beautiful location and scenery. Accommodation was amazing and staff were always happy to help. Highly recommended.
Lovely holiday park, nothing on site to do but places arent that far to travel to in a car :-)
Not suitable for the elderly.
would benefit from a dishwasher, and better wifi/internet/phone signal
Accommodation was excellent, clean and fully stocked with all that was needed for a break. Nothing to do on the small site but and ideal base close to Lake Windermere
Beautiful park, lovely and peaceful with lots of wildlife.Lovely and secluded from the other cabins.Stairs were a bit steep down to the jetty but not a problem.
Lovely site with fabulous views of Lake Windermere.
Staff are courteous and helpful.
Nice, quiet site but the entrance road was a bit dicey - very sharp bend if approaching from the north. Wouldn't put us off though. Pity there wasn't a shop on the site as had to go into Bowness and pay for parking just to get essentials. Pleasant position though, near Windermere, lovely, quiet and private. Plenty of wildlife (birds and small rodents (mice??) coming onto the verandah for bread etc). They kept us entertained every morning and evening.
A great base to explore lake Windermere and other areas of the Lake District. Easy to access attractions by car. Lovely peaceful park with a quiet patio area at the side of the lodge for eating and relaxing. All we could hear was the sounds of the lake and birds. Quite a few caravans and lodges on site but you cannot hardly see them or hear from them as the lodge is surrounded by trees.
Beautiful accommodation in beautiful surroundings. Had a perfect holiday and this was our first visit to the lakes. Can't wait to return
situated in a quite area but close enough for all the main resorts plenty to do and lots of quality eating places
