double bed needed new mattress and loo seat was loose no toaster or plug for kitchen sink very clean but quite expensive .
Very nice place to stay. Hot Tub was great, but could have used a bit more privacy. Staff are great and very helpful. A minor point, would have been nice to have had a toaster in the kitchen. Area in front of lodge can be used as a camping ground, caravan, tents etc. But have to say that they seem to make sure once we were there that our view was not obstructed. Would stay here again. Lodge was very clean and tidy.
Absolutely fantastic stay views lovely and lodge very clean and tidy . Hot tub amazing and very clean !!! amazing stay with lots of attractions nearby
Wonderful holiday, everything we expected and more, booked in again for 2016. Many thanks, Janet and Keith.
Great base for Oxford and a quiet weekend with friends. The hot tub is a bonus. The Three Horseshoes pub is 5 minutes walking distance away and very popular. I booked for dinner a few weeks in advance and was not disappointed
Albeit just off a busy road, which you can hear when outside, the actual location of cabin, the view over the river and the bistro cafe was second to none.
The Lodge was spacious and clean upon first impression, but once settled could see that cleaning could have been a little better.
The food at the bistro was superb.
2nd time here, we love it, just a shame the touring vans have to be in front of the lodges
A lovely place with such lovely helpful staff.
Beautiful lodge, very spacious. Walk-in wardrobe, and large bathroom with full bath and shower. Very clean. Excellent location right on the river bank with stunning views, lots of wildlife to spot. Hot tub clean and welcoming.
The wifi was only available at the cafe.
Our view was obscured by a large camper van for 2 days.
Apart from that, the vent was great. The river was very close and no complaints with the hot tub.
Second stay here. Just as good ,great location, lovely setting , good walks along Thames Path.
Little late on being ready for us on arrival but other than that a perfect weekend
We visited in March when the site was very quiet. It was very well kept and the Bistro was excellent. The main road just behind the site was a little noisy.
Stayed for short break in early March 2015. Staff were very helpful and offered suggestions of local places to visit during our stay. The accommodation (Southwold) in short is compact but adequately equipped. Somewhat unusual that both the bathroom and bedroom are the closest rooms to the front door, a large frosted glass door with no blind or curtain for privacy. Hot tub was good quality, however when considering the amount and closeness of potential 'neighbours' you could have during your stay, not really ideal if wanting privacy and peace and quiet.
An excellent short break in a beautiful part of the country. Good value for money
