Perfect for relaxation.
We absolutely love our mini break away. The lodge was perfect and just what we needed. Very Clean and high standard Have never felt so relaxed in a holiday accommodation before - Perfect
Wonderful break. Lovely and clean. Thank you
Had a really relaxing stay at Blackwell Lodges, the location is great nice and quiet and a local village only 2 1/2 miles away to get everything you need. The food at the Blackwell is amazing....would recommend booking in more peak time as it was busy on the 2 nights we ate there in March
Nice inside lodge but way too close to other lodges and resembled a caravan site instead of a log cabin retreat. We could hear the party of people next door loud and clear. Not good at all.
Had a wonderful time and could not have asked for anything else. Lodge was stunning. Received wine and chocolate on arrival and the pub was lovely too. Would certainly go back x
We had a fantastic time, the lodge was spacious with all amenities, hot tub could have been a bit bigger, the surroundings fantastic, the atmosphere, comfort and food in the public house was second to none. Great stay and would most certainly come back.
Had a lovely time, apart from slipping on the decking as I was getting out of the hottub, and not being able to walk on the Sunday, so be careful!!! but will return absolutely lovely lodge, 2nd time we have been.I think another large settee would be better than the 2 chairs as they aren't very comfortable, just so we can both laze about!!
Gorgeous place very peaceful and staff are great
Loved it not much in the area
Great lodge, and would have booked again but for the huge hike in price..
WOW- best lodge we have ever stayed in, Geoff the owner is very helpful, nice little touches, basket of coffee, tea, sugar and biscuits in kitchen , bottle of wine and chocolates on dining table. Everything supplied even to bath robes, plenty of fluffy towels definitely 5*plus
Amazing lodge, met by owner and shown around and was immediately there to help with a problem - location is stunning just could do with a village shop we ran out of milk and there's nowhere closeby (we'd had a drink so couldn't drive!) lodge is stunning and hot tub position so private - felt very luxurious and will definitely visit again
One comment would be to note that on site pub only serves food until 2 - check in is 4 so we'd gone earlier to get food and only just had chance otherwise we would have been stuck for a couple of hours or had to travel
We stayed in one of the lodges over Christmas 2014. Upon arrival we were met by Jeff and were taken up to our lodge. The lodge was bigger and better than we both expected, it was gorgeous! Some lovely touches inside (Christmas decorations) too. Pub food was spot on and the cooking facilities in the lodge were everything that we needed. Best thing was the hot tub, even in the cold weather of December nights it still remained warm and sitting out at night staring up at the stars was amazing.
We are both that impressed with the cabin we'll definitely go back again in future.
Great location. Nothing like a soothing hot tub under the stars after the kids have gone to bed.
See you next year.
