Lodges are nice, the swimming pool could do with proximity colour change bar so you know when you are approaching the ends as it is murky and difficult to see.
Area is just outstanding for dog lovers with local beaches and pubs that cater for us, then you have the lakes and the hills we had a great time and would go again.
Enjoyable and relaxing few days. We have been several times before and already planning our next visit.
we had afantastic time
Had a very very nice relaxing week at Brockwood Hall, came down on the motorcycle from Manchester with the partner.
We arrived a bit early however we was welcomed very warmly and offered a complimentary drink. (Who doesn't like free stuff right)
As for surroundings, there isn't much to do for a young couple. We found riding out on them lovely country roads incredibly enjoyable and not that far away from Kendal/Windermere.
Food at Brockwood Hall was amazing, that fillet steak was one of the best I've tasted for a long time too. Cannot thank the staff Wendy or Zain anymore as they made great company from start to finish.
We enjoyed our stay at Brockwood Hall Lodges.
Really nice place, hard to find though as its just a tiny sign onto a thin country road which you could mistake for a farm entrance.. The site is also hidden by tree which we thought was great but some people may find it makes the place hard to find... The only issue we had was the breakfast was not up to scratch with most of the food being undercooked, our sausages were raw in the middle not to mention extremely small :-/ but the place is in a beautiful setting
Swimming pool was closed and this was a big factor in going here.
Staff are fantastic, friendly, polite and incredibly helpful. The food in the restaurant is excellent and good value for money. Location is stunning and the views are beautiful. Would definitely go back again
Fantastic location, though driving is essential for local amenities. Lodge fantastic and homely, wildlife spectacular. Highly recommended!
Lovely place, the hall grounds are stunning. Loved the hot tub and sauna. Pool was good but lots of parents ignoring rules of using the pool, supposed to have children supervised but parents signing children in, letting them through the coded door the leaving them to use pool alone whilst they went back to their accomodation. Lodge very nice, just a few niggles regarding kitchen implements as tin opener was broken and not enough oven trays if you wanted to cook for yourself and not enough pastic tumblers for use around hot tub. I'd be happy to take my own of these things now I'm aware of what the kitchen was missing. Other than those 3 little things our stay was fantastic and I will certainly book again as all staff were cheery, helpful and really looked as though they genuinely enjoyed their jobs, which says a lot about why the place is so brilliant.
Wow! What a wonderful place, stunning surroundings and truly wonderful staff really make this a place I would visit again and again and again.
3 nights of broken sleep as an animal was scratching underneath the lodge
The lodges are not luxury
Eating and drinking at Brockwood Hall is very expensive
lodge was tired and need a refurbishment.
Apparently this work was being carried on some lodges.. would consider going back
when a complete update of all the site was finished
We were spoiled with some fine weather. Nonetheless, the setting and facilities were just perfect for us.
Brockwood Hall is a place I would return to. The chalet we stayed in was tired and needed a refurbishment but pool / bistro and staff all excellent. Site itself was lovely .
