Lovely place to stay for a few days, plenty to do
fantastic location peaceful surroundings
We had a warm welcome from the owners and had an excellent stay
Unfortunately this was the worst hoseasons site we have ever been to. We had two lodges in our party. Both were very outdated with old uncomfortable furniture. The beds were so old you could feel the springs and you sunk into the sofas as they were past it! The kitchen and crockery were dirty on arrival so we had to clean it all. There was no wifi as stipulated in the details.
The site was run down with massive pot holes on the track to the lodges. The children's play area was an old swing- not kept up at all. The tennis courts were also very run down.
The site promised 4 pubs within a mile and a half. This was completely incorrect with only 1 pub two miles away and that was not suitable for families.
We book at least one holiday a year with hoseasons as we have thoroughly enjoyed their sites however this was a great disappointment and hoseasons need to update their details on the facilities and amenities locally as this was not up to standard.
Very peaceful with lovely walks.
Could do with a little shop just incase you forget important bits. But really enjoyed it.
we had an excellent stay for the bank holiday. Simon and jennet do a fantastic job and are really helpful. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and the cries from the cabin are amazing. And the kids loved the swimming pool. This site is a must if you have young children. Would defiantly stay again. Thank you again Simon and Jennet. Leigh & Caroline from stoke
Had a fantastic time, kids love the swimming pool and hot tub! log cabin was in excellent condition and clean, staff where very friendly and helpful at anytime of the day, location was tranquil and peaceful, came home feeling chilled, thanks for a great week.
Really enjoyed this holiday and very child friendly
Very poor compared to other Hoseasons parks.
The drive into the park is a little hairy! It is in a stunning location with wonderful views of Chirk Castle. The swimming pool is great and as we went out of season we had it to ourselves which was brilliant. It is perfect for a peaceful getaway. We had a great time and will definately be back :o)
Not what expected with nothing to do on the site
lovely place to be in beautiful surroundings - beautiful walks outside the doorstep
nice view , very hard to park car !!
Although we had issues with the oven and hot tub, the staff were very helpful. They did offer to replace the oven and they did fix the hot tub. They also did not charge us for the use of the electricity for the inconvenience we experienced. However being a short break, these problems did mar and eat into what was supposed to be a relaxing and enjoyable time and spoilt it rather. Just one other comment, ragarding charging for electricity as a standard, we feel it is a bit stingy, considering you are paying a reasonable amount to stay at the lodge in the first place.
The site is very well managed and the owners very helpful. The facilities on site are a little dated and some investment is needed to the landscaping of the site. The surrounding area is lovely, views of Chirk Castle fantastic. Ideal for the quite relaxing weekend we had planned, and the Pool/ Hot tub was enough for the kids.
The location was very rural. Just what we wanted and the owners were very helpful. We were looking for a relaxing break and that is exactly what we got. The wifi didn't work unfortunately, apparently because of the weather which was a shame.
