The location was very rural. Just what we wanted and the owners were very helpful. We were looking for a relaxing break and that is exactly what we got. The wifi didn't work unfortunately, apparently because of the weather which was a shame.
Didn't meet the staff, left the key in the door of the lodge. Said there was wifi in lodge and you had to go down the picnic area to get signal. Went home a day early as was not happy overall. Would I go again? NO
We went as a family of all ages. The only thing was the stairs to downstairs loo and kitchen were hard for my disabled mother to climb up all the time. This was no problem for the rest of us
Fantastic location for peace and tranquility .Owls hooting is the only noise we heard .
hot tub wasn't working, but the staff tried everything to get it working . It wasn't a real problem because we just went in the swimming pool.
we stayed in Tulip Tree Lodge very comfortable very well equiped, very cossy, we read the reviews beforehand and must agree with the road going upto the lodge very narrow and windy but was sign posted whioch was a great help.
The site was very scenic but it was the helpfulness of the management, Simon and Jeanette, who totally made the stay there so exceptional. Totally welcoming and so helpful, to the extent of driving our vehicle along the narrow, bendy, steep drive up to the cabin and leading us through the dark and rain when we were somewhat confused of which direction to take!
The location was dreadful, nothing to do and just a lodge stuck in a field. The road to the lodge was shockingly bad (basically a road in between fields) which was situated next to a farm. The road to the lodge was only wide enough for 1 car and once you parked the car outside lodge it was dreadful to get back out, (no room to turn or you would get stuck).
The pool was dreadful as well, no room to change, full of cobwebs and very dated. The leisure park was tennis court (in middle of a field) and a swing which were not close to each other.
will return, had a fab long weekend.
It's a shame that the hot tub in cottage doesn't work it would add More interest if it was up and running. Also not enough towels or toilet rolls given for the amount of people it accommodates. The swimming pool was also a bit grotty, and not warm. The changing room for swimming pool needed a good clean there was mod growing where AstroTurf had come away underneath the radiator. But the actual cottage itself was beautiful in a beautiful location tou. Bed linen was all spotless. Thank you for a lovely stay.
heater in living room didn't work.Bathroom door opened into living room--not nice--Welcome package would have been nice-no tea/coffee/etc. needed updating
Excellent value for money but park a little tired.
Never saw staff, only by mobile, I wouldn't call it a leisure park, disappointed when we first arrived, pool didn't look anything like the brochure.
Had a lovely stay, good location very quiet and peaceful
We stayed in Tulip Tree Lodge No.1 which had a brilliant view of Chirk Castle across the valley. The Lodge was spacious, clean, good value for money and the owner was very helpful. The park is secluded and quiet.
Downsides were the poor signage (the existing signs did not include the Park name and an extra sign opposite the entrance would be helpful). Also the drive up to the lodges is one way up a hill, very narrow and twisting and not for nervous drivers! If you have alloy wheels be careful.
