Beautiful location and accommodation, hot tub was fantastic, at the right temperature all day everyday. Great for exploring Manchester and the Peaks. Had concerns when we booked regarding some reviews on the driveway to the properties, but it looks to me as if the lane has been resurfaced and was not a problem at all, Staff very helpful and friendly, would not hesitate in booking again.
Excellent weekend break. Snow on the hills made in very scenic.
Our holiday was absolutely beautiful, the area was lovely and when we arrived the snow was quite deep and we couldn't get our car outside the lodge but the lovely staff drove us up in the 4x4 which was great. Had seen other moaning about the road down to the lodges, there is nothing wrong with the access road at all.
The perfect place to explore the peaks (or just stay in and relax!) During our stay we visited Chatsworth and Lyme Hall which were both fab days out which I would highly reccomend - we also had a spa/golf day at a hotel near by called Shringley Manor.
Very nice and quiet site
Fantastic place. Very rural which was perfect! Take a trip to the village greengrocers, lovely food and very helpful.
Complained about rowdy people in the 3 lodges around us and nothing done about it
Lovely cabin in a nice area, plenty of walking and sightseeing to do.
Main issue was that the reception wasn't manned and we only saw someone on the day of arrival and departure. Our friend is hearing impaired but we couldn't get the subtitles on the tv and after calling the owners all they did was leave us the remote control instructions, and it still didn't work.
Really nice local pubs nearby. Hot tub was great.
Amazing lodge, with beautiful surroundings would definately book again and recommend
Marvellous, first hot tub break, enjoyed it more than I expected to.
Myself and my partner stayed at the Charlesworth lodges - in the Amour lodge from 5th-8th December 2014. We found the surroundings to be absolutely gorgeous, just what we wanted! The lodges are set away from any main roads or built up areas giving you a feel that they really are in the middle of no where but just a short walk away is the local village which has all the amenities you might require. A really great stay!
Very peaceful location.
We had a lovely three nights in a beautiful lodge. Would definitely go again.
The location and the lodge were excellent but the access road was appalling! It was a single track road with potholes each side and a high ridge in the middle which constantly scraped the underside of our car. It was so bad that we left it at the top of the lane and had to walk 15 minutes to the lodge. Good job there were no other cars on it at any time as only wide enough for one at a time! When I mentioned this on checking in I was told "it is OK if you go slowly" - if we had gone any slower we would have stopped!!
Really good location for a quiet break away. Close enough to a small village for bits and pieces but only 2 miles away from broad bottom train station which gets you into Manchester in 25 minutes.
