Real reviews, from customers like you.
Compact site - quiet and well maintained.
Really good value. Good location and facilities.
We had a peaceful and very enjoyable holiday using Colwell Bay as a base.
Holiday was ok, went out of season so quite a few things closed... The accomodation was very cheap, last minute booking. Overall good place to visit but don't be disappointed if you go out of season and things are closed
Excellent accommodation. Cant fault it. A genuine home from home experience. All we needed was ourselves and clothes. Everything else was supplied. Took my disabled partner here for valentines weekend. Absolutely great relaxing break..
only 1 negative point. No activities for kids apart from a swimming pool.
Great for a relaxing break for adults though. Lovely and quiet location with a 5 minute walk to the beach. That was cleantoo.
Really lovely stay! Me and my girlfriend and two of our friends spent 5 days in the Yarmouth cottage, the bungalow was a very nice size. The sea is about a 5minute walk max, so was nice and close. Having read mixed reviews before I went I wasn't sure what to expect. But some of the reviews I read turned out to be so petty (moaning about little things) but for the price I paid I can't moan about anything. We all really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again and would recommend anyone to go!
Good place to take a winter/spring break
We holiday on the Isle of Wight at least five times a year in our touring caravan, but for a winter break the cottage was ideal. I wouldn't have paid the full price though. Only booked at reduced rate. We enjoyed the facilities and surroundings so much that our daughter and son in law are coming down in a week or so on our recommendation.
Lovely helpful staff. Quick to fix any minor probs (there wasn't any major ones!!)
Our 4th time here and standards have dropped considerably. Staff remain to be the best asset this park has as they are extremely polite and accommodating. However, the cleaning leaves a lot to be desired. We are not talking dirt, we are talking filth, absolutely disgusting. We had to clean the important bits on arrival and went out and bought our own kettle. The bathroom was appalling and badly stained - stains that quickly came off with a bit of bleach and elbow grease! Kitchen utensils, window and sill were sticky so we just refused to use them. The included fairy liquid bottle had white milky stains inside and on the outside so we didn't want to touch that either. The oven had obviously not been cleaned prior to our arrival, neither had the toaster, hob or fridge. There was even items in the freezer left over from the previous holidaymakers. It made us feel physically sick and it was obvious nothing had been moved to hoover under as there was rubbish behind the furniture including a dirty Christmas sock. Bedding smelt clean but had rust stains on. Also the maintenance is not so good any more and a lot of things either didn't work or were in a poor state of repair.
Needless to say we would not return
The site could do with a small bar or something for entertainment and some changing facilities for the swimming pool but overall I had a lovely time
Indoorbpool with good ooening hours, tennis court & childrens play area. Grounds were well kept & facilities in good condition.
Staff were friendly & helpful.
Didn't really see the staff but that wasn't a bad thing either. I'm guessing they would have been there if we needed them but we didn't. we had a fabulous relaxing holiday. Couldn't have asked for more.
Loved Cowell bay and should I visit isle of white again I would definitely stay again. The accommodation was great, spacious and unexpectedly even.had a washing machine so it felt like home to home.
Games left to play, good TV reception and of course the Hot tub. Which was the reason for booking
The hot tub is situated at the back of the property however there was no gate or fence at all to stop visitors entering the back garden if they wished. My only concern.for that was having a young child with me however this does not alter my perspective of the overall experience
experience. Thanks for having us!
