Lodge number 16 needs updating in the kitchen. The cooker is not capable of use for making full meals. It is an old cooker and needs replacing. The lodge is described as luxury, the appliances should match this description. This was the only let down, The lodge is really nice and spacious. Location is lovely and the hot tub is fabulous.

Would definitely return
The cabins are excellent for a relaxing weekend away from it all. A little on the expensive side and for some reason, I couldn't get the ipad to connect to the wifi (although that's possibly not such a bad thing!) Recommend taking easy to cook food for the weekend as well - M&S dinners work well with the surroundings. Dog thoroughly enjoyed it too.

Modern, clean and everything you need all at hand.
The lodge is set out to a high standard with all you need inside.
I would suggest you take your own non. Stick frying pan if cooking breakfast in the mornings.
This was our 4th stay since 2011 in a Bulrush waters edge Lodge. we love the lodges overlooking the lake and the hot tub is great esp as it is covered so you can sit out in the rain . The lodges are always spotless well equipped modern and warm .
the clubhouse bar is nice and quiet with good priced drinks inc soft and hot drinks with a pool table, and free table tennis upstairs . theres 2 good eating pubs in the village just across from park 10 min walk , a good fish and chip shop which offers either takeway or sit in and a Chinese same takeaway or restaurant as well as a costcutter .They now have a pizzeria Restaurant Berts on site which we had dinner in one night it is nice and overlooks the lake but preferred the Dacre arms pub in the village you get good home cooked large portions and drinks are better choice and are cheaper as there is no draught Drinks so is more expensive in Berts . you can have a quiet relaxing stay or do, pitch and putt, kayaks or pedolo on lake as well as waterwalkers until 31st October, theres a small childs play area (away from lodges) and tennis courts and bikes to hire. Hornsea is 15 min drive, &Beverley market town bridlington and hull are within a 30 minute drive ,scarborough is a hrs drive . Highly Recommened Dacre Lakeside park Bulrush wateredges Lodges and Dacre Arms Pub and The Chip shop in Brandesburton Village .

A wonderful and relaxing week exactly what we were after. Park and lodge were fresh and clean, lodge well equipped. Berts pizzeria was nice. Staff very helpful. On the edge of a village with two decent pubs, a small convenience store, butchers, chip shop and chinese.

Stayed there with my two children. spent most of time on site, kayaking and cycling. Site very quiet and relaxing.
Did one big shop in a town 9 miles away. Village opposite site had more than enough: shop, Post office, two pubs and a Chinese restaurant.
Will be booking again
Fab place, great location, staff are really lovely, its our 4th stay,
Lovely park. Stayed in bulrush lodge. Lodge great however we took a fair bit of food and there was no space in cupboards to store it. Hot tub was fab but please note that the people walked right past balcony to get to the Lake to fish and I
found the lack of privacy was an issue
Great for a weekend away. Really enjoyed our relaxing stay; facilities in the cabin were excellent. I would recommend this to anyone.
Lovely place to stay
This is my 3rd visit to these lodges and I will certainly be returning!!
Lovely all girl holiday, also beautiful for couples. Have been a few times and will always go back. Just love it!!
the lodge itself was to a very good standard and being at the side of a lake was lovely however the view from our lodge was probably the worst as it was at the end of the row. the site was very clean. On the downside despite the information indicating their were lake activities when we were their w/c 13/10 my children were very disappointing as water walkers etc were not available. This was part of the reason for going to this site so advise phone in advance to check what would be available. Also bar is reception and shut at 4 pm each day which also stopped pool and table tennis not being available again leading to disappointment as my children are 11 and 13 and we expected this to be available. The restaurant on site Berts was excellent. Overall site was to a high standard but extreme disappointment that facilities and activities not available.
Lovely location, fabulous lodge.
The lodges are clean , well set out and are of a high standard.
The other residents are all considerate of each other.
We will be returning again without a doubt.
