Lovely property but staff member who showed us around couldn't get out of the property quick enough and having to pay for electricity is ridiculous
hot tub wonderful
We went away for Christmas as a family after a very difficult year and we had a lovely time
Diane and Gary were very helpful, the location was great and would definitely book again
Great stay, not listed on the website that check in is before 6pm though the owner did try to ring a number of times - though our drive prevented us from getting the messages.
Didn't use the pool or spa however the hot tub was excellent and the lodge clean, reasonably equipped and tidy
Pretty much perfect! The only gripe was that we didn't find the double-bed comfortable (but I have an expensive Sealy bed at home with latex top, perhaps that's why!).
rather rushed introduction to our lodge which was spotlessly clean .having to pay extra for electric was disappointing .
Overall the lodge was very nice and tranquil but the overall place was way too remote for my liking and these lodge had no self warmth we were constantly filling the meter with money just to keep a little bit of warmth. You had to travel a minimum of an hour to get to civilization and the fact there's no signal doesn't help either. I did appreciate the games room as this kept me and my family occupied and once you got driving to places it was fine but all the driving was tiring. I would recommend this holiday to anyone that wants to never be bothered by i.e work, family etc complete peace or if you just want to have a change of home for a bit. I didnt think the hosts were very helpful either. On arrival we had to wait a while till we were greeted by the people who run it and the only other time we seen them was when they were checking the lodge next door on whether it had been left in a reasonable state.
We have just returned from our 2nd stay at these fantastic lodges. We stayed half term 27th ~ 31st October 2014 and Diane and Gary have been busy keeping the lodges perfect. We emailed in advance and asked for The Bratton Lodge (No 1) again and was amazed at the work that has been put in since we last visited in July 2013.
Had an amazing time defiantly coming back again.
Never had to pay £100 deposit on any other homiday.
Never known having to pay our own electric on top of holiday.
Towels not provided within the price.
We had to leave a night early as the Bed was too uncomftable to sleep on another night, so a waste of money
Very relaxing, enjoyable brake. Just what we needed. Hot tub amazing.
We had a lovely weekend away and met some lovely people in the nearby village.
