Check-in delayed by 1 hour as room still in the process of being cleaned. Felt the check-in time was already quite late in the day hence an hour delay was an inconvienance.
Accomodation was ok, not unclean but "tired". Full ashtray left on balcony - given the reason for late check-in, we did not appreciate the irony.
Smart TV unavailable for duration of stay, with young kids in the middle of winter, this was an issue.
Pool was a little too cold for kids - subjective, but other families we spoke with felt the same.
Pillows on the pull out bed were "murder", very uncomfortable.
DVD player did not work - staff very helpful in finding a replacement.
Could have been better.

Beautiful location, excellent resort. Access road from main road narrow in places
second visit to Forest Hills. Apartment brilliant with all the amenities you need. Wifi very sketchy but then actually quite nice to be away from it.
Our only comments that we have are the lack of shops or ability to buy even a pint of milk. I'm sure if we had gone to the wee blether tea room they would have sold us some but you have to be very clever about your catering. An option or facility for this would be great.
Another point, which I guess is out of the control of the hotel but would make everyones life easier or smoother is the state of the road. When we visited 3 years ago the road was pot holed and we thought 3 years on it might have been dealt with. I understand the difficulty of improving the road due to fantastic location but these two comments are the only things that would make us think twice about returning.
We had a lovely week and it only rained one day.
Amazing, tranquil place to stay. Very beautiful surroundings. Facilities (including gym, indoor swimming pool, steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi) were well maintained. Child Friendly resort. Also staff at Watersports Centre at Loch Ard were very helpful and friendly....Canoeing was amazing!!
Very pleasant despite the rain! Charging extra for electricity usage seemed unnecessarily petty to us, especially during the summer months.
Already knew where going so very happy with location. Weather was bonus!
accommodation bigger than I expected< lodges are slightly dated but fine for teenage boys!!
Excellent, would definitely recommend.
