Lovely cabin, could have done with a deeper clean, but everything else there was no fault with.

lodge was great only two problems one the dishwasher still had dirty dishes from last guests and we lost the wi-fi for one day. we payed for the entertainment pack with movies and sport but kids movies limited to just a few.

The lodge was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. Internet access is very expensive at £10 per day, surely internet should be included these days.

I was a bit disappointed on arrival as there were numerous cobwebs on and around the entrance, outside table and chairs and inside the cabin. This needs a bit of attention. The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed.

Beautiful lodge and surroundings! Perfect for a good rest.
Took a while to get used to no WiFi or phone signal. Life does go on!
Very quiet and peaceful. Watching the squirrel eating nuts and having an evening coffee on the verandar, what could be better!

We were upgraded and although we didn't need the 3rd bedroom or use the hot tub it was nice.

When we arrived it was clear that our lodge hadn't been cleaned properly. We had got there early evening and it was my birthday so we wanted to celebrate!
So the next morning we spoke with reception who said they would send someone up in the next couple of hours. When we returned more than 3 hours later the lodge was still the same however some furniture had been moved, we went back to reception who said someone had been to clean but they would sent them back in half an hour. 45 mins later they still hadn't returned and we wanted to go out so we had to have another trip to reception!
In the end a very friendly lad came and cleaned and did a very good job! But we were disappointed in all the hassle and the fact that we pay etx having a dog and there was dog hair visible from the previous visitors!
We did receive a bottle of wine to apologise but being a non drinker this was of no benefit for me.

A lovely location, directions easy to follow.
Loved every minute, sad to come home. Already booked for next year.
Loved every minute of our holiday. There is lots to do in the surrounding area, which is good for those of us that have children.
What a fantastic holiday we had loved the accomadation and would recommend to friends when we book again I'm hoping to get the same lodge I stayed in as it was perfect for us can,t praise you enough thank you

We have stayed with Forest Holiday, Forest of Dean two years in a row and have thoroughly enjoyed our break. We are hoping to return again next year.

could be better sign posted from the main road along with others found it difficult to find. My husband sometimes likes to use the hot tub before we leave but staff started to empty at eight o'clock so would not have been able to.

It was very muddy, despite no rain for a few days. No proper path to our chalet, so the pushchair was very muddy, and no mat inside the door, so this mud travelled.
Despite 5 bedrooms,so potentially 10 people, (we had 9 plus baby), cooking equipment was inadequate. Staff provided more, but all small. We do self catering.
This is the first holiday we have been on with no welcome tea tray, we all brought supplies, but the initial cuppa would have been good, after a 7 hr drive. It was an expensive weekend.
Last comment, we had no idea there were 120 chalets! Pictures are a bit misleading.

Staff were excellent and great with the kids and dog.
A very well stocked shop with on site restaurant which has a good range of options and they deliver to your lodge if you don't want to cook yourself, book your bread/rolls as they sell quickly.
A well laid out park with something for everyone. Perhaps wifi could be offered without the need to pay for the Sky package.
Mobile signal is poor in the forest so don't plan to use it.

We had a wonderful holiday. Our lodge was beautiful just as we had hoped from the internet photographs. Everything was spotlessly clean. The hot tub was perfect and the facilites on site were excellent. We enjoyed a pizza delivery which was delicious with lovely ice-cream to follow. We would definitely recommend Forest Holidays and will certainly be rebooking in the future. Our 17 week old puppy had the time of his life.

The accommodation was superb, some of the best we have ever stayed in. The cabins/lodges are well spaced, with good parking and look into the woods rather than at the other accommodation. The overall site is great too; really nice location and decent facilities.
The big let down was the visitor centre, or rather the staff that run it. We tried a meal there but the got drinks orders wrong and managed to completely forget meals. You might forgive this as a one off (I usually do) but we went back for the quiz the next night along with a number of other families only to find the staff couldn't be bothered to run it. The staff were friendly enough, either not very well trained or a bit dopey. This was confirmed as we were leaving and a couple were complaining that they had ordered a meal to their lodge and it wasn't delivered.
Avoid any food/entertainment organised at the lodge and you will have a great holiday.

staff in reception did not seem to be fully prepared for guests our booking was not listed and had to wait for them to find us. was not able to hire bikes as all were book in advance
so had to travel miles to get some from another location. prices in the welcome pack for food to be delivered to our lodge did not show a del charge when we asked about this was told welcome packs had not been updated but we still had to pay.
the night vision activity was great the guide was brill and it only cost £10 per head.
Some maps and guidance on the forest walks that could be accessed directly from the site would have been helpfull, especialy how to get to the river.

Lodge was great. Location great. (Directions to park were awful unless you were coming from the north of the country and we weren't.)

Looking for glorious countryside and abundant wildlife, relaxing activities and historic attractions? You’ll find them all when you stay at our holiday parks in Gloucestershire. Close by there’s the Royal Forest of Dean, its stunningly beautiful landscapes varying from the lush rolling farmland and black and white villages around the picturesque town of Newent to vast tracts of ancient woodlands, the setting for a great array of outdoor activities and attractions, including the old iron mines at Clearwell Caves, sculpture trails and steam train trips. And from the secluded setting of our holiday parks, Gloucestershire’s many other delights are also easily accessible. As well as its spectacular landscapes, the county boasts a great historic heritage – take time to explore the magnificent cathedral and historic dockland quarter in the city of Gloucester, and the elegant Regency terraces of Cheltenham. Tewkesbury, an ancient abbey town standing between the majestic Severn and Avon rivers, is also a ‘must see’ for anyone enjoying one of our caravan holidays. In Gloucestershire’s sleepy villages and market towns, all over the county, you’ll find impressive churches, antique shops and welcoming pubs serving excellent food.
