pity the caravan facilities were not open which at the time I thik we should have been informed of. The cottage was lovely although a couple of wee things should have been addressed ie 3 light bulbs out in lounge, some of the wood work and plaster board walls were a bit scruffy!
AMAZING STAY AT COURTYARD NO.1 HAD PLENTY OF ROOM AND WISHED WE HAD BROUGHT KIDS WITH US! THE SURROUNDINGS ARE BEAUTIFUL AND HAVING THE MOUNTAIN BIKES WITH US WORKED OUT A TREAT WITH ALL THE TRAILS NEARBY! WE EVEN DID THE ZIP WIRE (LONGEST ONE IN EUROPE) WHICH IS HALF A MILE UP THE ROAD AND DOES PLENTY MORE OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES!
THE OUTDOOR HOT TUB WAS AWESOME AND EVEN IN THE SNOW AND SLEET!! PEOPLE WERE EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND ARE LOOKING AT BOOKING THE COTTAGE AGAINNEXT YEAR WITH THE KIDS!!
The cottage is great. Furnishings beautiful. I would definitely recommend this cottage. We have been twice and have booked again for next year.
Had a lovely short break. cottage really spacious and very clean.Would definitely book again .As it was out of season did not use any of the facilities apart from hot tub which was fab .
great place very secluded but not much near for shops etc
but overall great
Having stayed at auchenlarie previously during childhood as a family holiday. The courtyard was extremely spacious and comfortable, clean with a beautiful view! Would definitely recommend, and have done already
Beautiful location, right on the coast, easy to get to places, situated on the A75, The beach at Auchenlairie was beautiful.
I couldn't ask for any better
The accomodation and area was excellent. I would certainly recommend this location.
Loads to do in the area nearby for children but you need a car to get any where.
We were pleasantly surprised by the farmhouse, it was spacious and comfortable and very good value for the price we paid. Having the caravan park over the road was excellent as there is not much to especially if you don't have a car but the park offered somewhere to eat and kept the children entertained.
We had a fantastic time! Great base for our outdoor adventure holiday! Loads to do for the kids and a great little shop to buy all your basics from!
Galloway cottages was lovely, very clean and of a high standard. However it is not suitable for young children. I have a 2 year old, the wooden park situated outside was for older children hence we had tantrums every time we passed it. The glass tables also not a good mix with a 2 year old. The while experience was a bit stressful. If our son was a bit older or would have been great. Lastly the double bed was very uncomfortable, the blackout blinds was frayed so it shone the light in sowe didn't sleep well at all.
